Speak for your damn self. I have had a 1995 maxima. 2000 maxima, 2015 maxima and 2020 maxima. They are amazing machines. If you take care of them they will take care of you.

5 years, 111,000 miles!? On a nissan. Dont get me wrong i love nissan. My last 3 cars nissan sentras. I currently absolutely love my 2023 sentra but i got it brand new. One with 111,000 I wouldn’t trust, unless the cvt fluid has been changed multiple times though out its life (which is unlikely)

I had the same traction control issue. I noticed it would happen more frequently when the breaks were worn or maybe the break sensors. But yeah that car got me everywhere and I didn’t take care of it. I now have a bmw 330i 2022 and I love it. The interior of the maxima was so nice I miss it and it was fun driving, it felt faster too for some reason.

Speak for yourself. I love my 2022 Nissan Maxima. Bought it new. Had 4 miles on it. I love the cvt in it to. I have and will continue to stay on top of maintenance. CVT flushed every 30k. Brake fluid exchange every 15k. Oil changes every 3k. I will do coolant and electric power steering fluid every 50k.

I used to have a Nissan maxima SR. I love the car it was fun. I miss unbolting the exhaust and ripping it that car got ran hard and put away wet for some reason, I just had a horrible bad luck getting in multiple car accident for some reason, I don’t know if it was because it was a Nissan Maxima or if it was blue, I don’t know The car I had before I’ve had it for five years never made contact with another car, and I drove the shit out of it but the Maxima never left me dirty until I totaled it when I hit a deer going 130 and yet it’s still drove home an hour away perfectly fine couldn’t really see out my windshield My roof was caved in, but it drove. It had 164,000 miles on it when I totaled it I use the insurance money and got a 2015 Acura TLX with 165,000 miles on it it has about 190 on it now and I absolutely love this car I just don’t like the look of the interior compared to the Maxima. The Maxima had a very amazing comfortable interior. But the TLX drives way better than the Nissan

The brake pedal rubber is missing, probably fell off. I think the issue is somewhere there is a switch in the mechanism. You said it's like the car does think your foots on the brake and thats probably right.

Nissan is one of the most reliable cars. The engine is bulletproof. It's just some guys drive their Maximas like it's a NASCAR and fuck up to CVT.

The cvt gives out at 120-150k. Imagine it goes out next year and he still owed 4 more years on the vehicle. I owed 10k when my transmission went out on my Nissan. To this day after 12 years it impacted me financially

should have bought a camry or corolla, sounds like the master cylinder & or ABS pump is on its way out, that plus the CVT = $$$

Look lots of people keep saying buy a corolla or a camry but thats only because of reliability. Nissans just look way more sportier than toyota
