Out of context but the non title matches should be also looked in to. Roman VS McIntyre at Survivor Series 2020 and Big E at Survivor Series 2021 were clinics. Not even mentioning the triple threat between him, lashly and Big E!

It might just be me, but in terms of pure wrestling, storytelling, chemistry and character development, the Roman vs Cody at Mania 39 is Roman’s best defence of the championship. Nothing else compares. So my rankings are as follows for Top5 1. Mania 39 vs Cody 2. At Clash vs Drew 3. Mania 40 vs Cody 4. Smackdown vs Bryan 5. Jey Uso at Clash of Champions or Smackdown vs Riddle

USA and FOX both wanted Hell In A Cell matches on their shows, to tie in to the Cell PPV. The PPV featured Lashley versus Drew. So then Smackdown wanted a Cell match of their own, and we get Rey versus Roman and it goes together like an extra long premium live event.

Only regret is they didn't have him beat Orton one-on-one and didn't have him even defend against Lashley. Those seem like the biggest omissions of main event stars that Roman didn't conquer, outside of finally beating Rollins one-on-one or beating The Rock of course. It all worked out fine and it needed to end at WrestleMania XL, but just thinking they could've had him beat Orton or Lashley instead of Kevin Owens so many times.

I disagree…I think the title matches were well spaced..early on he had more of them cause the chance of losing was high but by mid 2022, the reign had gone on for so long that you knew it had to be a special moment for him to lose it so it didn’t make sense for Roman to just wrestle anyone for the title. Going into WM 40, the chances of him losing the title were so minuscule that there was literally no need for more than a couple title defenses. Also my guy has cancer, he doesn’t need to be beating his body up for no reason when there’s other guys out there who can keep the shows going

And he was so bad on the mic that Paul Heyman had to help him by becoming his manager. On top of that, his matches were all the same...better wrestlers jobbing to him.
