@@pschighlights Michigan won the NC in 1947. Michigan is both the anti-Rutgers and the WTNY (wait till next year) university. If you agree that 2006 was a good year for RU it's been 12 years since they had a good season and of course Michigan had an 11 win season in 2006. And I type that as a Michigan fan. Think about this If Rutgers can win a National Championship before Michigan can win another one they would have more NC's then Michigan in the modern era (post 1950) Michigan 1 (or 1/2) if you want to put it that way and RU would have more. And that culinary school was tough, UTEP had to score with two minutes left to win 21-17. Those blind and deaf football players were so "plucky and inspirational." A sappy Lifetime Movie should be made about them. XD.

If youre referring to App State, they went on to win the FCS national championship the year they beat Michigan. It was their third in a row. I was at that game, App State was very good.

@@RedSpartan32 I suppose you're one of those whiny types on NJ.com who keep a vigil for Schiano's return and who won't admit he wouldn't have done anything at RU if VT, BC and Miami didn't bolt for the ACC and WVU for the Big 12 since he was a combined 0-12 against them and probably wouldn't have done any better against the Big 10 than Flood, who, even with his starting secondary kicked off the team, ended up with a better record than Ash. My bad. Also, I forgot to mention that Rutgers tied for their only Big East title under Flood and they won their only Lambert Trophy, something even Burns, Anderson, Graber and Schiano failed to do.

They were respectable in the Big East after teams like Miami left. Then they joined the Big10 and other than 2014, have been the whipping boy ever since. The Big10 only wanted them because it would make NYC cable companies add the Big 10 Network. Sorta like inviting someone to your school just because the parents paid for a brand new athletic complex.
