A small tip for torquing, do the chevron pattern as you stated. Then starting with the bolt in the 12 o'clock position, we'll call that number 1, torque it again then move directly to the next bolt in a clockwise direction we'll call that number 2 and torque that bolt. Then go back to number 1 and do it again, then skip number 2 and torque number 3, go back and do number 2 then skip number 3 and torque number 4, go back and do number 3, skip number 4 and torque number 5, go back and do number 4, skip number 5 and torque number 6, go back and do number 5 skip number 6 and torque number 7, go back and do number 6, skip number 7 and torque number 8. Once like this will be enough but I always do it twice when doing any Turbine related equipment at work. Doing this you will see that even after doing the Chevron torquing pattern you will still get a bit more on them.

Great video and great diy! Only issue I’ve had on some cars while installing is sometimes the harmonic balancer likes to slip off the hub when removing the torx bolts which you then have to remove the belts to reassemble. also sometimes the CBC doesn’t fit in any orientation whatsoever.. but again. Awesome someone is doing these diy’s!

Hey man. Nice video. But the Crank bolt capture does nothing really, it does not prevent the gears from spinning, it soley prevents the bolt from not falling out. Timing still can be off when a gear slips with the friction discs failing.
@F80Ho2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I’m aware it’s a bandaid fix, but for $100 and some elbow grease why not 🙌🏽

Your forgotten the most important part of this job. 🙈 You should use a revised crank bolt torque setting. Wich is 100nm + 270 degrees.

Sick video bro, what the kickdown feature? Is that when you floor it and the car drops gears ?
@F80Ho2 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! And yes, exactly that. There’s been many cases of people spinning their hub because the kickdown messes the timing when it drops a gear from high rpm’s
