Thank you for the guide, as a new and F2P player Salamangreat was the cheaper deck I could afford in master duel and the deck has been working good, I have really improved my play with your combos and also the 4 cyberse OTK is just wonderful, I realized that in the first turn, if you managed to link heatsoul then in the OTK instead of summoning the splash mage from the GY with the transcode, you can summon the heatsoul as a link-3 for the access talker and reach 5800 damage, absolutely brutal.

It's just 2 extra level 4 bodies. It makes bagooska easier and gives more bodies for otk going 2nd (although most of the time you'd prefer having a handtrap going 2nd over an exceed)

Running 3 circle and 3 mining has a high tendancy to brick. Id usually run 3 of 1 and 1 of the other or 2 and 2. In my current build I just run the 3 circle since there's no cost and it's searchable and recoverable. Plus bufferlo makes you discard for cost and you don't wanna be throwing away cards you potentially need trying to get the cards you need. Also parallel exceed is amazing for bagooska and otk line. I run 3 and a formud skipper or 2 to search it.

I think it's fine to have more salad names because every additional salad name adds another disruption to the end board. Mining is actually best when it's drawn with circle since the discard cost is basically mitigated at that point (add spinny or jack with circle then use as discard for mining). I also like mining as a way to be able to play through your normal summon getting disrupted by something like a mirrorjade since that's the best way to stop salad. I haven't really missed exceed in a more pure salad build either. As long as you you draw other salad names instead, you can generally still otk or make bagooska for the most part (you can get there with every 2 card combo in this video already).

@@MyHomeInSunRise usually in your first turn combos you can make a rank 4 xyz (like in the combos listed) here that's usually when you go into it. Right now I recommend putting Abyss Dweller in the extra over the 2nd splash since you want to make that if you know you're against Tearlament

with Foxy + Spinny you can either make Transcode + Heatsoul or Wolf + Bale + Trap. Which one do you think is better?

I always prioritize wolf bale trap over heatsoul if possible because it's a guaranteed disruption whereas heatsoul isn't and it also establishes your entire salad engine for future turns. Keeping transcode for future turns is also a bonus.

Great guide! As a beginner, I’m confused about where to summon monsters onto the field. I put stallio in the very top and right side of the field but at the same time, i couldnt summon balelynx? Yeah, not in this particular meta because shufflers are really bad for mathmech, but I have tried in the past. There are lists in the salamangreat channel in the master duel meta discord server. It plays rather differently from pure versions of both decks too.

Yes every foxy line needs a discard so gaz + foxy specifically doesn't come up too often since if you had a relevant discard it would probably change the combo you do. It's mostly if you just draw dupes of gazelle or foxy.

I'm coming back to this video 3 months later to prepare for the Attribute event. You can't otk with Accesscode, but this still has good grand potential. Plus, Nibiru is a light monster, so no Nibiru!

Two ways to otk in event are: with 3 bodies double attacking transcode + co-linked update (needs a clear board) with 4 bodies: double attacking Transcode and double attacking co-linked Heatsoul for 12200 damage but can't play around disruption. Although thankfully the only handtrap most people are gonna have is Imperm so if they don't already have it set you can probably commit into a maxx c and the Imperm will be dead by the time you attack over their monster (inb4 lose to random Ghost Belle)

I always try to otk in lower ranks you can get away with it. once you get higher up then you do the other combos. I'll at least try to have a hand trap or two at least though.

it's in a weird spot because just dragonbite effectively doesn't change too much by itself. It's like the 3rd best extender maybe since it doesn't play around imperm/veiler (which is kinda what you want extenders to do) and the synchro plays require a lot of investment or for you to deviate from the standard lines that give you so much value since all the good insect extra deck monsters are links. tl;dr Krawler Soma waiting room

Mathmech basically comes down having to stop them enough with handtraps so their board is manageable to play into. It's a lot of accesscode otks back and forth. Runick is quite doable. Making anything untargetable with Transcode can carry games alone and rage gets around hugin protections due to not targeting. Going first should be in your favor since your disruption is in the form of a trap card which plays around amano and freezing curses and flashing fire can't get past balelynx either. TCBOO is rough but that's the only real blowout in their deck.

You can summon non fire monsters, just not use their effects. This is done in master duel afterall, it wouldn't let me do it if I couldn't.

Majority of people that play this deck now mostly agree that Bufferlo is better than Debug in pure salad. Builds that play debug usually lean more towards cyberse/heatsoul control or hybrids with other cyberse archetypes like mathmech which are basically completely different decks from pure salad at this point (although I may touch on some of those builds in the future).
