I saw Scream 6 last night at 8 30 Pm and I loved it and I was the olny one in the Theater my ranking from worst to best is Scream 3 Scream 4 Scream 5 Scream 6 Scream 1 and Scream 2

Scream (2022) It's really hard to rank the scream films because I think all of them are extremely solid even if some of them aren't perfect, I still really enjoy 5 and 6 even if I have them lowest, 5 is still a 7.5/10 film for me. It's definitely the most consistent slasher franchise. Really enjoy 6 as well despite a few issues, really solid and looking forward to future installments.

I actually don’t notice Sidney’s limited presence in 3 because they pulled it off pretty well, in my opinion. They start off by making her a recluse and having Ghostface look for her so you only need to sprinkle her into a couple scenes in the first half, but once you get to the third act she’s pretty much in the rest. So they scheduled all of scenes fairly well to make due of her limited availability and have a fairly regular final act that’s in almost entirely. At the very least she’s there for the reveal, monologue and final fight. I actually think 5 is worse when it comes to shoehorning her in and that’s where I’d actually have just cut her out like 6 did.

Scream 2 a bit low for my tastes, but I agree with most of what you say about it. The opening was a great commentary on fandom and violence in media. I also love that it doesn’t take place in a house with a girl alone answering the phone. I do think more openings should get away from this trope with new ideas.

Such a consistent franchise. Not really a bad film in the bunch. I will say Scream 3 has a special place in my heart, due to nostalgia. It was the first Scream movie I ever watched lol.

Just watched 6 last night and my ranking is exactly the same as yours. I was blown away by 6 and although I don't think the original can ever be topped, 6 comes pretty close to me. Also, I thoroughly enjoyed the MTV series. It has it's flaws for sure but I still found it pretty entertaining to take the overall feel of the Scream movies and stretch it out over 10 or so episodes. The first 2 seasons were good and the 3rd was okay. I'd definitely recommend it if you still have a Scream itch to scratch

Mine would be the same except I think scream 2022 was slightly better than scream 6. I didn’t like the 3rd act and the ending as a whole for scream 6 that much. In my opinion Gail should’ve been killed and Chad definitely should’ve been dead it was ridiculous that all those stabs didn’t kill him

I went back and forth with my ranking for 6, however, the original is just that perfect Best to worst (just because I put one higher than the other, doesn’t mean it sucks, because to me, all of them have something to offer, it’s a very consistent franchise) 1 6 5 4 2 3 6 has the best opening kill overall, however, upon watching the first one for the first time, I had no idea what was gonna happen, it perfectly sets the tone for the movie and the franchise as a whole, it’s so iconic, had a hard time ranking the opening kill alone.

I actually think Roman’s motive is the best. It tackled Hollywood me too stuff decades ahead of its time and handled a serious topic of conceiving a child due to that trauma and the trauma the child also endures because of it. I also love that it managed to do a trilogy twist of going back to the beginning in a believable way.

Scream 2 Ik some of y’all gonna hate but idk whenever I go on my scream marathons (which is like 3 times a year) I always dread scream 2. It’s a just a little boring to me. Although the opening scene and the ghostface reveal were great in it. For Scream (2022) rewatching it just makes me see all the things wrong with it like the predictability and the multiple plot holes and the lack of character personality. I will also say scream (2022) has one of the best opening scenes with Jenna Ortega.

Scream 3 is too over hated man. It’s fun, it’s corny and maybe diluted in terms of blood horror and gore but it’s a cool premise considering the circumstances of reshooting. Great plot, loved Sidney’s story and arc (her absence works well for me), really enjoy the killer reveal and the voice changing. I will die on this hill

Scream 1996 will never be surpassed. It had everything. It broke the rules, and changed the horror genre forever. Everything since the end of the first trilogy has just been a ripple effect. I'm biased probably cause it was my generation and era, but I honestly believe that along with the likes of Urban Legend, The Faculty, Cherry falls, I know what you did last summer and Final destination, that generation produced some of the best if not THE best teen slashers ever to grace a movie screen. For me, Scream is the finest horror film ever made.

You mentioned about the MTV show Scream and while it had a lot of its ups and downs, I would recommend s1 and s2! I try to pretend s3 didn’t happen (kind of like I try to pretend Scream 3 never happened 😂). The main character (Emma) is super dull at times, but Willa is a great actress and they wrote her character poorly at times. Overall the show is fun! Def would recommend watching it!

I just got out of seeing scream six and at least right now I am very happy. I need to see six again to do my ranking properly but one and four will remain my top two. I watched the original three as they were coming out, but I did not watch 4 when it was released it wasn’t until 2016 I finally gave it a watch and I think that’s why it’s always so high for me…people weren’t ready/open to it when it originally came out (imo) and that to me is why people who watched it early on have it so low on their list.

Scream 1, 2, 5, 4, 3 and 6. The first 2 acts of scream 6 were amazing (best kills in any scream movie). However the final act was completely trash (rehash of part 2, lazy as hell) we get the new Dewey another lazy move. I already know who the killer in scream 7 will be, either Billy other Kid or Stu kid. Scream 6 could have been the best movie in the franchis, but the last act moves it from first to last. 4/10.

For me it’s 1, 4, 2, 3, 6, 5. I thought the core 4 were okay but I still prefer Sidney way more than Sam because I found Sam to not show that much emotion compared to Sidney in the original films. I prefer Tara as an actress way more than her. I also found Mindy really annoying in some scenes and some of her meta dialogue felt kind of forced unlike Randy’s

I haven’t seen 6. Seeing tonight. But based on what I have seen I’d go 5. Scream 2 Objectively, this is probably a bit better overall in terms of quality than 3, but I found it to be both predictable and underwhelming. 4. Scream 3 Also underwhelming, but the final twist is good enough to get it past 2 3. Scream 4 A really cool opening plus a satisfying ending make it enough to be in the top 3. 2. Scream (2022) Best acting and cast aside from the first. Kept a lot of the good wit and parallels well with the first. Stakes are highest since the first one and reveal is decent enough. 1. Scream A timeless classic that plays with tension and expectations to create a surreal experience yet entertaining atmosphere. My favorite scene is still “the rules of horror movies” followed by “I’m gonna go get a beer, I’ll be right back!😱😂”

Nice ranking! Personally, Scream 2 is still in 2nd place for me even after watching 6. I think Scream 6 takes the bronze medal for me. Hope you enjoy it

@@ZachPopeReviews I just got out of 6 and although I don’t think it surpassed the original I’d definitely have it at number 2 or 3. My only issue was as you said suspension of disbelief as well as the fact I called the twist right before the movie as a potential twist.

I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed S3, and didn't like S4, although after rewatching, 4 wasn't as bad as it was watching it in theaters the first time. 4, they went too heavy on the comedy, and it was the least scary Scream movie for me. From best to worst: 1. S1 2. S2 3. S6 4. S3 5. S5 6. S4

The show is fire opening kills on the three seasons is lit too
