@@yungalucard9139yea...sure it can be seen as lame....but your here watching. His dad was wayyy ahead of the curve of gaming are you kidding. You didn't film game stores and collections in 1990. That wasn't a thing until 20 years later. The guy isn't here anymore and has been for ,15+ years, but his legacy, his footage, his moments, his family,is living on through the audience. That's something money doesn't buy you. Sure you chalk it up to "a legacy of just buying games" but he saw it(video games) along side.msic and movies as the art they truly are. Ppl have much more an appreciation for the art today, and this guy was doin it big time. What's your legacy Gunna be? You'll be lucky to even have more than a dozen ppl view your face or hear your voice

Ahh yes, the old Trojan clothes gift box trick...classic. There were those Dads that yelled at you to put down the video games and go play outside, not this time! I will never forget one of the most magical Christmas mornings of my life. When I got the SEGA Fighting System with Streets of Rage 2. Thank you Mom, thank you Dad. I mean "Santa." And thank you for sharing these memories with us, we all feel them collectively, and blend with our own endearingly.

Love this, I lost my dad when I was 20 and I have all these great memories (unfortunately not filmed). I couldn't sleep one Xmas eve and my dad shouted me to the top of the stairs, put the mega drive on the bottom step and said " Now go to bloody sleep". I wish he was still around if only to experience games today. I remember him being blown away by night trap on the sega cd so much he had to go out and buy me the console! (The game turned out to be a turd but still). And I remember being stuck on the final boss of Wonderboy in monster land on the master system, came home from school and he had beat it! Luv you dad.

So much love and care here!!!! If all kids could have such lovely fathers and christmas. Love it. Have to share a similar experience, just less lovely.... I got a Sega Mega Drive in 1991 with Altared Beast and Sonic. I loved it so much, even if the games was hard to beat that young. Had it for possibly a year until it dissapeared (?). I was told it was broken (and no comment to what happend to it) and I was told to accept the fact (?), just to feel decieved and lied to my whole childhood. As adult when I asked my mother to know the truth what really happend to it - I was told my father had drunken stepped right on it so his foot crashed through the console. Then they threw away not just the console BUT freakin both my games and the controllers (!) and even if that was what I had expected had happend, I had to set her up for "consequence" respons like "how could you both do that to me and never tell the truth?", "How could you throw away the games and controllers?" even a 4-5 year old me knew they where expensive luxuary to own and could have at least been kept or at the very least sold and invested in a new game system (!). My mother knew I was speaking truth about my child awareness and confessed; "We really did not know any better back then...".
