WHOLESOME?!? That’s hilarious. A woman who sleeps around, a woman who got pregnant and had to marry a yutz, a mother and daughter who bicker, a grandaughter who was artificially inseminated, mary who was pregnant single mother, an old lady who goes to be a nun and has to turn picture of a young hunk around to answer her door? Where was the wholesomeness? I think you need to look that word up. Brady bunch was wholesome, I love Lucy was wholesome. Sophia calls her daughter and roommate a slut.

@@thinkthensend9228 Brady Bunch was boring af. Of course sensitive people without a sense of humor would love a juvenile show that.

It still amazes me that they say Estelle had stage freight because she was new to television, was more of a an actress of theater... well stage freight or not, if that was never revealed no one would have ever guessed it because she is a spectacular actress my absolute favorite on this show her performances are so memorable such a unique character she brought so much life to Sophia she will never be forgotten and the fact that she was dealing with early stages of her disease or her memory was slowly starting to go during the later years of the show having trouble remembering some lines what a trooper I admire her so much I just adored this woman all of them really but especially her because the other three were veterans to television and sitcoms and she just fit right in they said her character originally was only supposed to be recurring but almost immediately she was upgraded to a regular because of how brilliantly she played the part of Sofia rip Estelle thank you for making the role of Sophia one that will live on in television history along with the rest of the girls this show is timeless and classic the issues addressed even in a comedic manner was done brilliantly and we have four brilliant women to thank for that may the three of you rest in peace and to our dear Betty White cannot wait to celebrate your 100th birthday this January and just know the girls will be celebrating with you love you all still my favorite show of all time I was only four when it came out I can't quite remember how old I was when I started watching I know I was a kid and I still watch it everyday and I never get tired of it thank you for bringing so much brilliance and joy into our living rooms just wish the other three of you were still here 💕💕🙏🙏

The threats of going back to Shady Pines are the best. Probably the best is after Sophia asks "How has this lifestyle affected your mother?" Surprisingly missing from this collage.

Rue/"Blanche" was the youngest, born in 1934. Over a decade younger than the rest, in fact. Betty/"Rose" and Bea/"Dorothy" were both born in 1922; Estelle/"Sophia" in 1923.

The way Sophia tells how Shady Pines was sometimes its true. I used to do security in a retirement home. The patients didn't have visitors. No children hardly came to visit. Its really sad how their children never visited
