On inside drift bikes, you can just start on the right and aim at the top left corner while drifting. It will cancel your drift and give you the mushroom boost. Normally I just hold drift the entire time until I touch the other track If you want a tiny bit more speed let go of the drift at the edge and trick right away for drift trick boost before the mushroom boost takes over

With the Jump Shortcut, you can actually drastically increase your speed on it by releasing your drift, doing a trick, and restarting your drift on the other side. This can create a sharp enough turn that you can take the left path.

There’s a shortcut if you go on the other half pipe,the one on the left. With the boost you can jump over the big hole.

Actually you'll still be saving time regardless if you get the boost or not at the U-turn half pipe section. I've seen the world record for this.

I found the 2nd one on day 1 before watching this video but ive never used the method you used, What i did was stay roughly to the middle-right while going up the boost panels, then when on around the last one STEEP left and trick off the side of the blue part. It feels faster than the method youre using but im not entirely sure id have to do both. Suprised there isnt more shortcuts lol

I've tried the gap cut with a few different vehicle combos and you don't even need the half pipe. You can literally drive right at it with no boosts or mushrooms. You just have to hop off and hold down on the joystick, and then be prepared to perform a right turn once you make it to the other side

Tbh it's so much easier in Mk8, you don't have that wall all the way to the jump to worry about anymore, just drift off the side and boom you're going

I actually found out you can go off the side of the half pipe on accident during a race! It’s very useful outside time trials cause you can do a larger drift and get the double item box while saving time. Not sure if it then gives you the boots or not tho

Controller sounds is a game changer! I’ve always been confused about releasing a mini turbo and hopping at the same time if that is two button presses or just one. The mushroom gorge gap jump for example. I’m still struggling with it 😢

That is one release and one press, so 2 inputs. You can't actually hop and release a MT simultaneously, but you have to do it very fast one after another

Dude I was praying for Koopa Cape and wii Rainbow road to be added… LETS GOOO (also my favourite shortcut on this one is jumping over the hole in the middle of the half pipe section with the boost of the half pipe, but I reckon this shortcut is faster)
