i can't even fathom how many routines they have to remember AND be able to perform to different songs every time! when i was a competitive dancer, the most routines i had to know at once was six, and those were of course all performed to the same songs each time. it amazes me every time i think about it!

its tricky but its more like you learn the choreo to the beat/counting and then you just have to watch the leader for the cue, most of the dances had a separate starting pose or move so you knew what would happen next. at least that's the way my team did it

Why is it that the football players make multimillions of dollars each season and the cheerleaders have to hold down a full-time job and get paid jack squat to work their asses up cheering for men running around after a ball? I also want to see if Judy and Kelli could keep up with all the dances and do all the routines and kick-line.

I love Meredith. She’s so sweet and very pretty and has talent, but she seemed to struggle a lot through training camp. I don’t get why they were pushing for her to be on the team so hard.

@@kameryn2918 It’s the only reason really. I forget exactly which video it was but i think they say something along the lines of “We wish she would really get our type of style of dance because she definitely has the DCC look.” These people are all about how good you are and how great you look.

@@Dcc333 It might have been Jinelle you are referring to. Jinelle was tall & thin but with a DD cup size, and Kelly described her as "gangly" but once she witnessed more of Jinelle's dancing, she admitted Jinelle was fun to watch & then Jinelle made the team.

Follow your dreams! I know you can make it! Just always make sure to have a backup plan because cheerleaders are done dirty when it comes to income, they don’t make nearly enough money for the amount of hard work they put in.

So awesome. I so admire and respect the training and leadership by these two former DCCs! But I do have 1 wish - that these 2 awesome ladies would be a bit more active and show that they "still got it" too! I love watching all parties but I always think it kind of sets limitations for older women. Young babes rock ! Ya'll got the stage! But older women can be extremely active and flexible and id love to see more representation of that. There are alot of women even in their 50s who have remained so young. These gorgeous young ladies would appreciate it too because they will be there one day too and it gives them hope that they can still be young, fit, beautiful and flexible even past middle age ! The Godfather of Fitness Jack LaLanne would concur 110% - after they retire and age they can still be marvelous for decades onward if they take care and remain active ! I'd love to see that❤️ Pride and Discipline - until the end ❤️❤️❤️❤️

If you had to actually go to work every day during the pandemic, instead of sitting at home collecting a check, then you deserve a "liveable wage". Nothing has ever been shut down because sideline entertainment didn't show up. Believe me, I adore the DCC, but if they didn't perform, people would still be watching the football game.

@@prg4647 if it doesn't benefit me? No, more like it doesn't benefit anyone. There are jobs in this world, that if they don't get done, will negatively effect society. I wouldn't want to live in a world without doctors, nurses, cops, firefighters, garbage collectors, electricians, plumbers, and other jobs that make the world we live in.....livable. Do you know what we don't "need"? Athletes, entertainers, actors, musicians, dancers, and the like, that while nice to have, the world wouldn't stop if they all went away. Dancing and shaking pompoms on the sidelines of a football game is a nice side job, but it's not "essential", the game isn't going to stop if the cheerleaders don't perform, and honestly, when the games were mostly shut down during Covid, the majority of us did just fine.

honestly when u have such a love and passion for something, you’re willing to deal with anything to continue doing it. Most people who employ themselves in the Arts accept the fact they get paid very low for it. Considering how much society values entertainment it’s kinda contradicting to pay the people who provide the entertainment so low. Wish these girls got paid just as much as those football players do.

I think the love to dance plus the experience of being a DCC. You get to be part of an iconic dance/cheer team. Plus most of these girls come from well off families who will help them out financially. The girls who support themselves with full time jobs during training camp are few and far between. So for them it’s not about the money.

As dancers/cheerleaders you learn to take criticism from your coaches. You learn they are the ones who know what the team needs you learn they have been doing this for years and way longer than me so no point in arguing they know what is needed and they know where to give criticism.

According to various reports, a professional NFL cheerleader can earn around $75,000 a year. But a supporting cheerleader is only paid around $20,000 a year. Professional cheerleaders are paid a salary of around $15-20 an hour. For instance, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, aka America's Sweethearts, who happen to be one of the most popular groups in the NFL, earn about $15-20 per hour, or $500 per match. Therefore, their yearly salary comes out to about $75,000.

does Judy ever have anything decent thing to say...oh...except for her daughter Cassie? She is the most dour and unlikable person yet..."she cares about the brand" sure

They and she herself mocked regularly about her being very strict and rarely giving compliments. Yet she does and she cares, that's why the DCC are top notch... just watch 1 full season.
