yeah sometimes garry does stupid stuff but that was just straight up cruel. "this was inspired by my dead grandma" and then the main characters laugh him out of the room. this isn't sunny in philadelphia where the joke is that the characters are garbage. it's an unnerving standout moment

@@samstern2042 I saw crazy pictorials of Muslim conquests and subjugation depictions over other Religious sects (other Muslims, Jews, Christians) over the course of centuries. That was in Afghanistan. One that really stood out was a depiction glorifying the Sept 11, 2001 attacks in NYC. That was found in a State building in Baghdad. I didn't see it in person but a buddy showed photos he took of it. The point is, every nation has a history of violence. To cover it up or tare it down does a disservice to current and future generations. We have to learn from it but recognize it is part of history and not blame current and future generations for the wrongs of the past.

A literal impossibility, but I like your energy. Human history is rife with atrocities, which we shouldn't forget. There's a difference between glorifying those atrocities, and acknowledging them in order to not repeat them. History cannot and should not be changed. It exists as a lesson.

at least they captured the brutality of the Native Americans, scalping was not known to Europe or Asia, the very concept comes from the Native Americans, they also have stories about killing a tribe of giant fire-haired (redhead) cannibals prior to colonization(in other words they committed attemptive genocide), they traded the land that is now a city for Wampum(basically beads and string) and tried to take it back once it was developed(which resulted in a battle) and the tribes had been warring with and enslaving one another for centuries, the colonists weren't exempt from doing horrible things, but very few people are willing to admit that both groups were horrible
