I think Soma and Charlotte will always be my favorite protagonists Charlotte, because Portrait of Ruin was the first Castlevania game I beat. And I heard from somewhere that Charlotte was bad and weak (not true btw) so I beat the entire game just using Charlotte, and it was really fun. And Soma because I beat DOS right after POR and I love his story and design. Also he's...just very pretty.

I love that They even managed to Pull off Both Of Ricthers Costume Designs from All his Rondo of Blood Games! And I even love that they confirmed that Juste is his Grand Father 😊

glad Stella and Loretta got their own official mode, though Serio's Castlevania Fighter really improved them letting them stand, walk, crouch, and other thngs, even float, and much more balanced and interesting movesets. Desmond's sisters Zoe and Dolores Belmont should have been able to fight and be playable.

Thanks so much! When I made this, I was using my phone believe it or not. This one specifically was on "Premiere Rush" but no joke, the crashing I had to deal with was absurd because of how complicated I was making the edits especially with the rapid cuts to make it look cooollll. And when rending this one, I kid you not, my phone got so hot to the point I thought it was going to explode. It’s kind of a miracle this video exists at all. But I don’t regret the experience editing it the way I did. The limitation inspired a lot of creativity. Now I use Premiere Pro, but I wouldn’t be as good with it as I am without starting with Premiere Rush. It’s simple but if you have a vision you can force the software to make it look cool, limitations be damned 🤣 I’d recommend checking out the KZbin Shorts I’ve made if you want to see how my editing has progressed, but the new video I’m working on I HOPE will show the difference too lol.

So in POR it's revealed use of the whip can kill its wielder due to bloodline. Such was the fate of John Morris. So is this characteristic of the whip in any way tied to Richter being corrupted by Shaft's influence?

This is one of the biggest mysteries in the entire franchise at this point, and it’s quite the rabbit hole to go down. The reason "why" Richter relinquished the Vampire Killer. It is absolutely possible Shafts influence played a role but I think it was also a combination of other factors as well. I’ll definitely speak more about it in the new video I’ve been working on!

One of the coolest things about the Castlevania games is all of them (with exceptions) are pretty self contained. You can play whichever game looks like it will interest you the most and still have a great time with them. However most all of the Castlevania games are connected, so if you want to experience them fully and understand references/callbacks/setting up events for the future you can also play them in chronological order or release order. It’s really up to you. I’d recommend playing what looks the coolest to you! This could honestly be a whole video topic haha

I love Sonia, and it's such a damn shame that she's not canon... she's the only woman (if I'm not mistaken) among the Belmonts! It's such a shame that the DC game was canceled... Juste is a really nice character, his dash allows you to cross locations very quickly, he has magic books, various modifiers for the whip... I had a lot of fun playing as him! a very great character. Alucard in SotN, along with Soma from AoS and DoS, are probably the two best characters in the series, as they both have an interesting story and a bunch of nice gameplay mechanics and features... And Shanoa, yes, a powerful woman and a great character.

Richter is the most powerful Belmont. This is comment by Alucard who have meet almost all the Belmonts and base on the last Castlevania game, “Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls”, where they reinstated that Richter was the most powerful of all of them. Julius was the most smart. He seal Draculas castle on the moon and that’s how he beat Dracula. “BUT”, is important to know that he didn’t did this alone. He have the help of others. He was not match for Dracula like Richter. 🤷🏽‍♂️

That question of the most powerful Belmont in the mainline continuity is between Richter and Julius for sure. I mentioned it in the YT Short I did, but Alucard also says Julius was the strongest in the same exact game 😂 So it depends. It’s definitely fun to speculate about!
