let me paint a clear picture of the inquisitorial motto "Innocence proves nothing": Imagine yourself being an upstanding and faithful imperial citizen in an agricultural planet. one of the most loyal and true citizen that ever was. one day, an inquisitor comes to your planet in search of something. you're not exactly sure what, nor why he's here in the first place. but he's doing the lord's work, so you don't question it. some time later you realize some of your neighbors got taken away by the inquisitor's troops. it was a grim sight, but deep inside, you're fine with it, those neighbors were kind of weird, and douchey. and then, one day, while working in the fields, you stumble upon a weird phenomenon. a circle in the middle of the field, where plants have died and earth has become muddy and swampy. and in the middle of that circle is a book. a weird book emanating green mist from its pages. you cannot decipher what it even says, but instinctively, you know it cannot be good. so you run to your inquisitor to report it. Well... you've signed your death warrant. because through the inquisitor's eyes, a common man have delivered to you a grimoire of nurgle, and just because he cannot read it, or he has delivered it to you doesn't mean the sheer presence of such an artifact in his vicinity hasn't affected him. so... he has helped your cause, and he was innocent, however, due to the corrupting nature of chaos, the Citizen must die for the good of humanity.

Yeah, the 40k timeline video should now be the first of Bricky's videos that new people watch. There's another one called WTF is Warhammer 40k by luetin that gives a shorter overview of 40k, as well as a more balanced introduction to the whole hobby. luetin is the true KZbin loremaster of 40k and is the one to go to if you really want to deep dive into specific topics.

I love Bricky’s video on this but the one thing that irks me and it seems small but it’s also the difference of 9900 years is when he’s reading the exert in the beginning saying “for more than 100 years..” it’s not 100 years it says 100 CENTURIES and that is a big difference

Welcome to Warhammer 40k brother! Its hell. You're going to love it! Hopefully. Maybe. Perhaps. Theres no shortage of videos about 40k, lore explanation and theories.. All that snazz jazz. If I may however recommend the following: 1) Take your time. Relax. Go at your own pace in learning this massive franchise and the uber complexity once you get passed all the general gist and knowledge of the factions. 2) Get a note book or multiple and write down notes after your reaction videos. Put down notes what you'd think is important. To help you remember and understand later refrences others may mention. 3) Have fun! This is a overtop franchise with plenty of crazy and wild subject matters. But its for you to have fun with as you deam fit. Thats what a hobby is, innit? And also for some content creators to avoid reacting too. Arch: He's got a very bad inner circle of folks that I can't say without YT censoring my comment. Or his followers will hound and stalk me again. Or he'll just send copyright takedowns on your videos. But I highly recommend.. Stay away from him and his videos. Apologies for the last bit of a ramble. But a few other folks made the innocent mistake of making react videos of his and he wasn't kind to them, nor was his followers. And if you support Arch. Please don't harass me again. Please.

17:35 bad aim in the table top is just a way to represent the futility of a single shot, lore wise they are as accurate as any trainned military soldier but since you cant actually have half a million miniatures mostly hitting their targets doing 0.000000001 damage each, you have about 30 units "missing" most of the time and doing a full point of damage when you "hit". On the table its looks like 25 shots missed, 3 hits were grazing hits and 2 shots actually hit the target but they represent tens of thousands of lasers crashing into the enemies armor/psychic sheild/forcefield until it eventually fails and the enemy finally takes some damage

the sisters of battle during the age of apositsy, the church can't have men at arms so the church just said 'well we will have women at arms.' and the white hair thing during the same time a group of sisters was brought to the emperor's throne room no one knows what happen in there but when they came out the experience left all their hair was stark white and it became a tradition to emulate those sisters.
