Fun fact: the reason why there are so many jabs at Sonic is because MAD actually had a personal Vendetta against Sega, you see, back in the early Service Games days of Sega, they used to make slot machines, and ine of them was called "Mad Money", which used imagery of Alfred (MAD's Mascot) alongside his catchphrase to play with the name, the thing is, early Sega was... quite a rebel in terms of caring about laws, so they used Alfred without any authorization of MAD, which actually led to one hell of a lawsuit against Sega. So i bet MAD once it heard that the little slot machine company was now a gaming Juggernaut, probably decided to do what they do best, parody their mascot to hell and back.

4:25 I love that they made a reference to Bunnie Rabbot, a character from Sonic SatAM, and even though she is half robot, her lore that she has both in the series and in the Archie comics is interesting, She is also loved by Sonic fans, just like the other Freedom Fighters: Sally, Nicole, Antoine, Rotor. It is sad to know that Bunnie's voice was given by Christine Cavanaugh she passed away more than ten years ago, on December 22, 2014, we miss you so much Christine you will always be our Bunnie.

It was probably because the archie comics were still running when this show came out. I was around 10 and I remember reading the comics and watching this show. I remember specifically the Sonic comics were at the big issue 225 at the time and did the big Genesis series for the franchises 20th anniversary.

@@undake30 Nintendo certainly does not want to acknowledge their cartoon exclusive characters. I'm disappointed Escargoon only appeared as a brief cameo in one Kirby game. Come to think of it, SEGA also stopped using Sticks the Badger, even though she did appear outside of the Boom games. It was one of the Olympic crossover games, but it still counts.

@@mightyfilm its actually pretty interesting as you can consider some mario stuff to not be originally from the games like ice flower first appearing in super mario kun and giant mario first appearing in the anime movie and the detective mario manga tho you can take into account that these concepts that people working on those use to play around like the evil mario from detective mario and dog rabbit companion mario has in super mario gaiden that is comparable to yoshi these ideas were done by mangakas before nintendo actually did them (tho you could argue on yoshi with him being a pre concept even way before super mario world)
