For what it's worth, my family actually owned a version of SpongeBob Monopoly for PC when I was a kid. It was a mostly decent enough version of the game, but committed the cardinal sin of having players see who could click/tap a key the fastest to determine who would win auctions and a few other things, which meant that the game often came down to who had the greatest finger dexterity and higher pain tolerance. 6.5/10, use a mouse and keyboard with a turbo mode if you feel compelled to play it for any reason

I believe there are even more SpongeBob PC games. As mentioned, these are either so low-budget that reviewers didn't give them the time of day or have been lost to time. I remember a SpongeBob Bowling game, a downloadable movie racing game, and an adaptation of the Creatures from the Krusty Krab. These were basically just minigames or minigame collections.

Oh yeah. I used to own copy of Battle for Bikini Bottom with the same premise as featured in the video, but it was a collection of different mini games. So each area was made up of a number of mini games, a character to save with a quiz about them and a collecting stuff while beating baddies. The one i distinctly remember is from the jungle area where you need to swing from vine to vine without falling. Anyone else remember that version of Battle for Bikini Bottom/know the proper title of that game? Thing is, I'm not from an english speaking country and the title in my native language does mean "Battle for Bikini Bottom", but I can't vouch for the fact that it is the actual english title.

I ADORED the PC SpongeBob games of the early-mid 00s. Employee of the Month, lights camera pants, and the movie tie-in game were staples of my childhood. I also enjoyed operation krabby patty when I was real young, and came back to it once in a while.

I feel like this is the first time I've played and have a lot of nostalgia for one of the unrankables; Spongebob Squarepants: 3D Obstacle Odyssey 2. I owned it via Big Fish Games; if anyone literally at all remembers that game host website and used it (I've never met anyone else who did, but my mom used it religiously), I hope you know it's actually still up to this day and practically no games have been unlisted, and almost all the games are still playable! @@jeremybottoms7619 Really? I really liked the Levels in Battle For Bikini Bottom. Jellyfish Fields feels Huge. It really is huge when you compare it to any level from another collectathon like Mario 64 or Spyro and it never gets hard to find anything and you never get lost like in Banjo Kazooie. The Freedom BFBB gives you for how you want to progress the game is amazing. You can skip certain levels entirely depending on which spatulas you go for. Downtown Bikini Bottom feels less linear in how you progress it, Goo Lagoon is Great and going through the whole process of changing where the lights are pointing just to kill one robot is a unique and somewhat silly concept. Mermalair is Great minus the Ball Room. Rock Bottom is a bit dark but it surprisingly solid and non linear like Downtown. Sand Mountain is Extremely Fun and Non Linear with no real "main spatula" to collect (just collect the main 3 plus the 3 time racers in any order you want). The Dream Level despite having a couple Rocky Places (like the climb at the very beginning of the level with the oil robot and Mr Krabs' Dreadful Dream) was actually pretty good overall having Extremely Fun and somewhat challenging Dreams in Sandy's and Squidward's Dreams as well as having the hardest spatula in the entire game in Patrick's Dream. The only stages that aren't really that great in my opinion were Kelp Forest and Dutchman's Graveyard (although I'd say Dutchman's Graveyard isn't as bad as Kelp Forest. I just remember getting pretty angry falling on certain points due to SpongeBob's Balance and Game Mechanics just being so ridiculously janky. I honestly don't know how the Developers of Battle For Bikini Bottom saw the Patrick and Mr. Krabs Tiki "Puzzle" and said "yeah this is okay. Let's release it to the public." Honestly I couldn't even be bothered to do Kelp Forest the intended way. I ended up just using the glitches and route that speedrunners use to clear Kelp Forest faster.

I remember playing a bootleg SpongeBob game from Russia when I was like 3 years old back in 2001 ish, no idea what it was called because you know russian, we got it when I was adopted from ukraine and is probably the very first game I ever played

Why is it that the two games based on the Truth or Square missed the entire point of the special? In the special, the gang spend most of the time in the air vents because of a mishap that led to the freezer door being locked from the outside. There was a time Plankton tried to steal the Krabby Patty formula, but that was when he was INSIDE the Krusty Krab because everyone left while the dynamic dunderheads were trying to get out of the air vents to start the Krusty Krab's Eleventy-Seventh, which initially ended up being a bust because everyone left until Spongebob did a song that brought everyone back. Why is it that the developers misunderstood the plot of the special?? Okay, a little research on the console version and turns out the reason why it has nothing to do with the actual special was because it was literally going under SpongeBob SquarePants: Happiness Squared during development. Okay, I can get that, but what's the PC game's excuse? Again, the special didn't have them find the krabby patty formula, they were stuck in the fucking air ducts and were trying to get out!!!

Regarding the Eye Toy SpongeBob game. The #1 redeeming thing that the Eye Toy had going for it, was that it wasn't the Kinect. I owned an Eye Toy and various games for it at it's release. Same with the Wii. Same with the Kinect. The Eye Toy was good. The Wii was very good. And the Kinect was comically bad. As a family we got loads of hours of fun out of both the Eye Toy and Wii. The Kinect? Probably an hour tops trying to get into it. Then stuck it in a box where it still lies forlorn in a cupboard along with maybe a dozen games. Some unopened.
