So like OP said, the audience realising and going nuts cheering before he even entered is proof of just how popular Bill as Stefon was!

Maxim W- That is a very weird theory, my guy, they're definitely not pre-taped. For one, that would just be unnecessarily complicated logistically, and for two, he's done these exact sound effects (Donald Duck, spaceship noise, etc) in a bunch of different interviews and live performances. He's just very talented vocally.

It never ceases to amaze me how things like that wedding finale segment; things that I'm fully aware are completely over-the-top ridiculous, are still able to severely pull on my heartstrings. Show a bit of believable emotion, put the right music in the background, use the right cinematography and editing, and I'm ready to start shedding tears over a church full of "midgets" and a middle aged man dressed as a vapid dropout. This is SNL at its finest...I'm not sure what that says exactly, but I'll keep watching. But the saddest part? I never did learn what that new study showed regarding tree-frogs in the Amazon :(

Yes! Totally. Y’know he breaks hardest when he’s reading something John Mulaney has slipped in after rehearsal. He has said that he is embarrassed by how often he broke (literally every time), but I think that it makes the jokes that might be considered “offensive” funnier because it is clear in the moment that they are jokes.

I just love the genuine, character-breaking "I love you buddy" moment between Bill and Seth at the very end. They're both forces to be reckoned with and should both be in the Top 20 SNL players ever! If you ever want more between the two, Hader has a bunch of interview videos on Seth's show and they're always great!

I’m in tears laughing. One of the funniest characters ever on SNL. And the added bonus is John feeding him outrageous lines on the cue cards. What a tandem they were. They had to have laughed hysterically after each segment. They must of thought this is the best job ever. And we get paid to do it.
