Unless the car is a daily driver that's being driven on the highway and parked for long hours around other cars/people etc you really don't need to protect the entire car. If it's a weekend driver type car that you mostly go A to A in then pretty much all you have to worry about is stone chips on the high impact areas.

Why not just use ceramic coating? Besides even if you PPF your car you still need to do normal maintenance detailing. He says he spent $3000 on his PPF. If your car is new or say more than $30K, and you plan on keeping it a while, go for it. Plus the film itself is cheap. It’s highly labor intensive and you definitely don’t want to cheap out on that. It’s like body or paint work: you either spend the money to go all out and do it properly or don’t do it at all.

@@msport4769 Ceramic coating doesn't prevent the paint from being scratch as well as PPF does. There are forms of PPF that self heal minor scratches, thus negating the need to do the usual paint maintenance. 3000usd, around 2400gbp is a lot of machine polishing especially as I do it myself. My car would also probably need wet standing before being applied with PPF to reduce the visual impact of stone chips on the front bumper. I know this wont remove them but it would reduce their size and short of having the front of the car resprayed, there is not much else I could do with it.

Pretty sure every car owner that gives a crap about their cars should add ppf to their vehicle...I’m not sure about all insurance companies but mine offers a glass endorsement so rock chips/cracks are $0 to fix. 👌🏽

Joe Knows Best -I put an extra strip of Expel on top of the base Expel layer, on the back lip of the rear tire wheel well. This way I could pull it off without having to replace the entire rear film. That area gets really messed up. My car had 305 rubber!

bro, Sorry dnt mean to diss your car, But i just witnessed a proper side by side drag race between a GT3 and GTR nismo, and did some of my own research aswell, the Nissan GTR nismo seems to be worlds ahead of the GT3, Please comment, and if so, do a road test of a GTR, would like to hear your version of this.

The 991.2 GT3 RS and most recent GTR both go 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. The GTR might win by just a bit. Everywhere else it's far outclassed in handling, build quality, etc.
