Carwow is by a margin the most consistent car reviewer in the English speaking world. If they have a full review up for a car and filmed in the UK, I KNOW for a fact what will be tested and reviewed in the video. Alot of car websites and reviewers are inconsistent with what they show and how in depth they go in the review. I live in America and If I'm looking at a car that's also sold in the UK, I trust carwow to give me the most information on it.

No Mat is telling you he does not understand Tesla as an investor. And his hunch about valuation of the business is a classical investment mistake but you can tell that his interest in passive investment shows that. I think his honest is fresh on the issue. On a financial basis Tesla valuation seems to show that its intrinsic value is far lower than the market valuation. The problem with all of that is the financials do not give a true metric of long term valuation. Try doing that to the valuation of Apple and Microsoft in 1985. You would be way off the market if you used pure financials.

I love Matt Watson. He's funny, competent, and has a wonderful, self-deprecating sense of humor. It is astonishing to hear someone in his position and, with his experience, miss the boat so completely on Toyota. Toyota has no compelling electric vehicles, is committed to hydrogen obfuscation and bullshit, including the utter nonsense of a hydrogen combustion engine, and is even lobbying at this point to rollback emissions so that they can get a fig Leaf to cover up their total lack of real commitment to electrification. They also appear to be committed to serial lying about their genuinely mythical solid-state battery, which they've been promising year-to-year for many years, a far worse example of Elon's over-promising on full self-driving. Not only that but since Toyota and virtually all the other Japanese car companies have already crashed in China and are headed for bankruptcy or at least severe marginalization, they are going to take the Japanese economy with them. It's astonishing and frankly disappointing that Matt does not appear to see any of that.

Maybe there is the possibility of sometime in the future licensing their tech but they aren't pursuing it today.

Matt - the reason why Tesla is worth more than Toyota, is because Toyota has the biggest debt of any company on the planet (bar none) and doesn't have a half-decent fully electric vehicle in sight (meaning, they'll have to borrow many millions more to bring them to market). And although Toyota outsells Tesla 3-1 (which is what you're probably looking at), Tesla's profit margin is 8 times greater than Toyota's per unit. Only BYD and Tesla are making money on EV's (I'm a Rivian owner), it's just not that easy to decommission legacy and migrate to new tech manufacturing. Toyota has been a truly epic company, I love what they've achieved. But I can't help thinking that their arrogance is going to send them the exact same way as Nokia and Kodak. Comparing Toyota to Nokia is a huge mistake. One could die because of governments the other is dead because of smartphones wich are an improvement from normal phones while electric vehicles are worst for some reasons, and better for others. But if you see the implications for the exchange you can see that buying an iPhone 3GS was expensive but the experience was much better than buying a Nokia. App store was killing the competitors, the whole iPhone experience was more complete, then came Android with Samsung and many many innovative things that actually could let you forget about a PC. That was a completely different transition, that was even more exciting… I remember when Steve Jobs presented iPhone like yesterday here in Italy, there was a huge hype unlike the Teslas… Here people don’t like them

@@Strikeitbig That's because there are too many people with tall poppy syndrome. Nothing is stopping anyone upset with another person's earnings doing what they are doing. Anyone can become a YT star, anyone can become a company owner, anyone can become a CEO.

@@Robert-cu9bm income is a private thing as is wealthy. This channel is all about wealth and investing and other things so clearly they can state what they have for transparency but that is not the case for society as a whole.

I really think the carwow channel makes nice content because if someone wants to buy a new car, almost all people will look at reviews so they know what car to buy ,I think the carwow channel it is a good chennel to help people want to buy cars I rank the channel 8.3/10 because it does not give you the exact knowledge of the car like sometimes he does not give you MPG or range on combustion engines cras or M/KWH on electric vehicles but still I really think that channel is very helpful for buyer's

It's worth noting that Tesla is actually not just a car company, they have the energy storage / battery and solar products as well as robotics as well. A lot of the price is also future potential. So yeah, priced as a car company its definitely overpriced. Tesla is difficult to price, now - its probably a good time to buy if you're in for the long haul. If you're looking for a quick buck, probably look elsewhere. But a lot of people fall into the same trap of thinking of Tesla as a car manufacturer, its not.

Growing up watching top gear on a Sunday night with the old man. Then when it all came to a end with grand tour. Thought no one else I’ll really enjoy as much. But times change and carwow is the best replacement.
