This is a mod that nobody really thinks of. I have this storage box inside my car trunk. Are those boxes on the truck waterproof? maybe mod it to make it waterproof as a project. these small details make your tacoma stand out. great idea overall and useful. 💪👍🏻😸

You should get a rubber bed mat. I actually plum bobbed the 4 corner bed bolts , then drilled the mat and bolted the mat to the frame rails. AWESOME

Great video! FYI - Home Depot sells the 7/8" cam locks for $5 if you want to lock the other side or if just buy a 3-pack so you have one key for all locks. I bought five (2 for under the back seat).

No one steals tow straps where Im from.What does happen is these storage doors rattle open on gravel roads which is very annoying. This is a great idea to fix that problem. nice video!

My Tacoma is probably too old (or maybe because mine is a Prerunner), but I don't have these storage areas in my bed. This really looks awesome, though. I am jealous! Your really detailed and straight forward direction makes this look like something even I could do! LOL! Nice solution. I just put a screw into the side of the turn knob to deter thieves. The screw prevents turning the knob.

Great mod, always enjoy! A couple of things. The bit you used for enlarging the hole is called a spade or speed bore bit. The washer under the screw is a lock washer. Very easy to understand mod, not sure if you shared the type and length of the locks, as I started writing before checking

I like that and thought about doing it. Two things I already have a cover on my bed and lock with the tailgate. Second even with my cover on, water still gets into the compartments. I had ratchet straps that rusted. Thankfully they were on from Harbor Freight. Still a good mod to do 🤙🏻

Tuft makes ok next for that and you can use a 3 or 4 digit number lock so you don't have to carry a key.

Interesting product and video. Your presentation would be improved if you learned the names of the tools and parts that you are working with. Some of your subscribers also might not know the proper names. You would save them from the embaressment of trying to find the products at their local Home Depot using the wrong names for what they need. The drill bit is called a spade bit. Another tool that you used was a file, not a knife. The little spikey thing is called a lock washer. If you go into any hardware store they would be happy to help you with the proper names.
