Out of excuses (for not buying the Glassbox) is right! I abandoned the purchase of a Speedy 3861 Sapphire Sandwich after seeing this one in the flesh at my local boutique this past Sunday. I have not stopped wearing this stunning piece since buying it on the spot. Plus, I saved a bit of cash to boot. ZERO regrets. This reference is AMAZING save for the bracelet. No micro-adjust is limiting and they could have done better on the bracelet design/execution. While I think that this dial, WR of 10 ATM, and the fact that it's self-winding offsets most of missing out on the 3861's heritage and cool factor, I will say that the Speedy's bracelet and movement finishing/execution are superlative.

Amazing. That Monaco. So glad to see movement legend, Carole Forestier Kasapi helming TAG Heuer's movements. Just shows how serious the brand is about proper watchmaking. I was lucky enough to ask Carole on a private online preview of the Only Watch Split-second Monaco last year; "how long till we see a regular production split-second chronograph?" She told me it may take years to make it mass market but making it in limited numbers was already possible. I guess, this is the reason these Monacos are limited and priced accordingly. Well done TAG Heuer.

Good video overall but it would have been nice if you would have kept the Carrera specs up for longer than, literally, two seconds. It's impossible to read all of that information in such a short amount of time. If it's worth including in the video, it's worth making it readable. And before any of you say "you could just paused the video," yes, I know that, but I shouldn't have to.

Wasn't a fan of the skipper in steel, but in rose gold it is starting to make sense to me. The panda glass box is fantastic, so classic. Honestly the Monaco does nothing for me.

What happened , no more prices ? Afraid people are going to shun them due to the ridiculous pricing the Swiss watch manufacturers have been dishing out ? I bet my pinky these are all going to be overpriced . I do like the Glassbox Carreras , 40 mm would have been better in my opinion and maybe 05-1 mm thinner . Don’t like the look of the split second Monacos but kudos to the watchmaking and refining the overall package .
