After watching those video essays of Horrid Henry's Parents the show hits different nowadays because I grew up with Horrid Henry and I never realised Henry's parents are that bad until now but I do feel bad for Henry.

The thing is that henry's mom is worse because what she does, which is starving henry constantly and henry's dad is a full blown stoner and deadbeat hypocrite to henry.

That one about losing his boots and annual reports was a dream. Henry woke up at the end of that episoide after falling asleep at the computer. The mum did similar things in that episoide.

While not a crime,in a flashback of a young Henry riding his bike for the first time Henry was moving around and giggling and his Dad(as usual) said Don’t be Horrid,Henry even though he wasn’t being Horrid he was just excited to ride his bike

I think that both of Henry’s parents are pretty bad but in my opinion I think his mum is worse than his dad because she calls Horrid Henry’s favourite tv show Horrible and she gave Horrid Henry’s tickets away after she had promised that Henry could go and see the Gross Class Zero movie if he had a good day but even when Henry keeps his promise she literally gives his tickets away to Stuck Up Steve where as Horrid Henry’s dad likes to spend more time with Henry and and likes watching Gross Class Zero with him. The fact that he lets Henry watch his favourite show with him is something that Horrid Henry’s mum wouldn’t had done in the first place since she always doesn’t let him enjoy his favourite tv show. She always thinks that Henry should be more like Peter. So does Henry’s dad however Henry’s dad was probably the only one who would let him go and see his favourite movie. I could see Simons reaction he was like… Bro that’s not fair you’ve got to atleast let Henry got to the movies with me I can’t get in without a kid but instead of listening Henry’s mum just wouldn’t buy it. I think Henry’s dad respects Henry’s likes better even if he called Henry’s favourite band horrible and wouldn’t let him go Anyway that’s just my opinion.
