@@themonst3r579 well because there’s not one pot that says “put this amount of money in and all suicide will be cured.” Queer people commit suicide a lot because of the prejudices they face, and so I’d imagine this money would be going towards lowering that rather than the other research about it generally, which while more broadly applicable, there’s less a dollar can do in that context. So yeah, while they’re both trying to prevent suicide, the causes for those suicides are different, and so the money has to go towards different things, thus, different charities
