It's been a great many years, Gavin. This song resurfaced during the recovery of shattering both legs and my left arm. Things can get real low at times. Starting college is probably one of my hardest challenges to date. Im arriving to the point where I have lost part of what made me "Me". Its part of me telling me that, through all school years, all I wanted to do was to be someone else, to assume a different role than the one society assigned me. I remember when I listened to this song just because of this uplifting beat until to the part of my life when I struggled with my emotions. I remember that when at that time I travelled by bus to school and had a hard time I listened to lyrics especially to the sentence "Just because they told you so, That doesn’t make it true, Sometimes the only sure things are, The instincts inside you" bc my mental issues was made because of the things that other people told me.
