That last point you made is the point that a lot of others are missing.. the feel is the thing I connected with too (with GT1000).

The AIRD is such an underrated feature! Yet the most important. It has transformed my guitar playing. With digital amps!

@@BenRowlandsMusic yea it’s crazy man.. something I found interesting is that a few weeks ago I started experimenting with external cab simulation after 18months of using stock cabs & thought that by doing so it would mess with the AIRD feel.. crazy thing is whatever potion they put in these things works even when you replace a fundamental part of the chain - the speaker. Awesome unit & those little Cores pack a lot of punch for the size. It’s amazing how technology has evolved.. like you say, it can make us play better or should I say makes us more inspired!

I've tried digital processors for decades.....this is the first one that makes me forget I'm not using a real amp. I've had it a year. I've sold all of my amps and pedals.

Just using it to play and record, this is one of the few multi-effects devices where the presets are very good. That makes it very easy to edit to make great patches of your own. These type of videos are great for owners of the device who do not have time to deep dive into valuable features. Excellent.

Good vid!! See...the A.I.R.D technology is what makes this! Some people would rather have a million options and not really care about how a unit responds under the hand where as the GT1000 feels great under the hand with not so many options. When a unit isn't packed with so much crap, it opens up the DSP to do more for your sound and other important functions. I think Boss put just enough options into this unit so you can create great tones and patches and leave most of the DSP for greater things. Sometimes less is more and in this case, less IS more...for the greater good!

Feel is everything. The 1000 Core has the lowest latency of all the modelers (although I'm not sure about the Cortex) ..... but it is more than twice the price too, it damn well better feel good!

Great vid! I'm always switching between Cigarbox guitars in different tu Ings, and real guitars, all with different pickup types and output levels. These features are another tick in the pro-column for the gt-1000 core

I just purchased the boss GT 1000 core. I am enjoying it on its own played through a head rush 8 inch speaker. Unfortunately when It came time to download drivers and Tone studio, and about three other options, I found out my MacBook Pro with M1 chip is not compatible with downloading anything available for this unit except for the driver, If you go to the same support page that shows you how to download all these items for various windows systems and others, it quite bluntly tells you that they have no plans for making it compatible with the M1 chip. I assume the driver by itself is not much good and if I cannot use the tone studio I will have to do everything on board. I’ve already found it difficult to set levels for my different guitars and I thought it would be easier once I download of the tone studio and could do it on my laptop. Looks like that’s not an option for me. Lastly, Is there a hidden enter button on this unit. Like I mentioned before, I had trouble setting the levels for the guitar, I followed the instructions of the manual to a T. Boss does not mention in the manual how to press enter to make a selection. I’ve tried every clicky button on this unit and none of those will act as a select button. I have tried the helix iand the head rush, also kemper stage profiler. Believe it or not, it feels just as responsive if not more so than the kemper. I actually like the sound of the boss Gt 1000 core better. I hate to think about sending this one back because of lack of functionality. I guess there’s always the quad cortex. I’ve seen many of your videos on various topics and instruments and I find them extremely informative and entertaining. One of my favorite subscriptions.

So can you switch on multiple effects with each individual switch or just the CTL-1 switch?

Can I run this into the front of an amp and just use the effects and not the amp models. If so how does it sound doing that. I have the pod go and can’t get it to sound good in front of the amp. It sounds great in the effect loop. Also how many blocks can u use at the same time?
@BenRowlandsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hey Thomas, you can run this into your amp for FX only and use it in an amp FX Loop. Check out this video here for further details and examples BOSS GT1000CORE - 4 Cable Method! Use a valve amp with your BOSS GT1000 CORE! - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2ineGWoo954rMk For the FX Blocks you can run 24 Simultaneously! Which is awesome! Hope this helps you!

"Delay and reverb trails carry on to the next preset" @3:28 . Is this actually true? I have read that this simply does not work. Has there been a recent software update that now allows this, or are we watching a false ad?
