So fun fact about flamethrowers. They don't actually spray fire like an aerosol, the way they are almost always portrayed in video games, they use pressurized air to propel a stream of flaming napalm jelly which is actually far more terrifying because the jelly will stick to things and keep them burning. Also if video games actually had realistic flamethrower ranges they would likely be the most broken thing in the game.

Especially if it was one like a Churchill's Crocodile with the Bowser fuel tank which could shoot to 150-200m with optimal aim and bathe areas with fire.

There's a real sense of dread going against sweet Tooth in tm4 because of that special. It'll track you down. It'll go through walls to catch you and if you're caught, you know you're in trouble. It's my favorite special in all of twisted metal because of how scary it is to play against and it really made sweet Tooth feel like a real boss.

But if you're Trashman, you have to hit invincibility first and hope you're in a good spot in the carnival for a straight run. And that's hoping you have both the energy and fuel to boost out and jump into the haunted house only to jump back out and have another one chasing you.

Dude gets a super OP golden Ice Cream Truck gifted to him for free because someone thinks he's a total gigachad. It actually fits in really well with the lore if you think about it.

Yellow jackets stingers should get bonus points for it being thematic. The car is named 'Yellow Jacket" and has a stinger that does more damage when you ram into think like a wasps stinger

Not many people realize that the create a cars in TM4, even the large ones, have even less health than one star cars on the main roster. That's why Twin Torchers is especially a slap in the face and I give a pass to the Funny Bomb for at least doing decent damage

The gurney bomb does 40 damage. Plus, every time I get hit by the gurney bomb it makes my vehicle kinda loose control and kinda stun? Actually, the reticle coffin can be used as a remote bomb and if you leave it enough time, you will do up to 120-130 damage.

Outlaws special in tm3 was broken if you spammed rear attacks you could stack that special do it fast enough you could launch opponents into the kill box 😅

The best special is spectre's. All you need to do to kill a vehicle is wait until you have 5 it will not miss, especially TM3 spectre is the best because there are no warnings, the speed of the rocket is insane. And if you have the enemy frozen You can use rear attack to fire them all at once. if you use rear attack, Auger can actually drill you eternally . Sweet Tooth from TM4 can be easily overcome with teleport if you learn exactly the teleport points because You can actually teleport in the same place where the special is, so you need to be in an specific area to be teleported far away from the special. Now if we are talking AI vs Human Spectre's special is king, but if we are talking Human vs Human Sweet Tooth from tm4 has the advantage. When I played with my friend TM4, I would take every single health and just drive fast and fire missiles from far away when the special is thrown I would use shield and then teleport Once he was out of specials I would attack him to kill. Sweet tooth without special is a big Target. It is hard to miss on it. TM black spectre is good too but VS human is really bad because it is slow and it basically sends the player two warnings visual the re crosshair and sound of proximity. The shield can save you.

torch should be much higher, you can follow behind and enemy and burn them the full duration too, you don't need to freeze them first unless you're not good at using the weapon twister can be used much better even by a noob (maybe not a modern day noob, but a noob when TM2 was new) even without shooting enemies of knocking them into terrain grasshopper is ok, but should be higher for TW2 (never played head on) especially if you shield and use a remote mine on impact roadkill should also be much higher, the weapon is really easy to use on a return strike, especially if fired backwards TM2 sweet tooth weapon is visibly an ice-cream cone from other angles, it's only a "pink blob" to you shooting it since you're seeing the ice cream part, and the cone is facing the enemy (the placement is fine, but could be higher since the up and down motion makes it harder to jump over than a homing missile) warthog's flame thrower in TWB is what a real flamethrower looks like, they just had the animation right unlike most games (placement is fine) ... why would you call Rob Zombie an actor, and not a musician? especially when he hadn't done any directing or acting at the time it's pronounced "Qway-zar' like the inner ring of a black hole TW3 thumpers weapon was good, but just a copy of vigilante 8's base quake mr slam you forgot the directional release of the throw making crowed control better and the ability to thrown enemies into hazards/off roofs shadow is also a crowd control weapon , and in a pinch if you nitro and shield a good high jump utility warthog is boring, but also does more damage at longer range which makes it "okay" i'd put it more in the 30's club kids placement could be even higher (especially for any non boss weapon), but it's not the same as twister, she can protect herself from collisions with hers, his is a trap, made even better with a remote mine in the center

TM2 Twister can pick up and carry enemies while moving to avoid taking ram damage. It’s not practical though as it requires frame perfect timing and a wide open space.

Roadkill in 2012 has a 3rd level of his special with blood rockets. You have to release the fire button and hold it again at the end of the second charge (little red part). The whole bar turns red if you time it right.

Yeah, the third level is called blood missiles and it does more damage than the zoomy missiles 2nd level from death warrant but death warrant's special recahrges faster. I still prefer blood missiles because they also look way cooler lol.

Long Nick content let’s goooo edit: I’m at #80 and I feel like I’ve got a difference of opinion on TM4’s Warthog and TM2’s Twister and I was like if you’re not doing good with those it’s skill issue, right? Because there are tools for fixing. TM2 shield is applicable and TM4 Warthog is a set play character. You can freeze remote into setting up your special and freezing again with the input, but when you brought up, a new player would have trouble, I understood. I guess to me I would consider those specials more fun to use though! Like the payoff emotionally(?) makes me happy enough to keep using those characters. I’d have put Grasshopper beneath em because to me, that special has never been fun! But I love hearing about your thoughts regardless Edit once I got to grasshopper’s placement: wait so it suffers the same criticism as Twister “but if you know how to shield properly it’s good?” Yet Twister is that low? Is it because of the jump mobility or do you just find it more fun or do you dislike twister?

I clearly stated why grasshoppers special is better than twisters in TM2. Twisters special hurts the player way more often than grasshoppers does. It requires less skill. And even though I like the tornado idea, I think grasshoppers special is more creative.

52:35 CF does a little more damage than Kamikaze with the flamethrower (I think max damage is around 120 compared to around maybe 100) but other than that they're pretty much the same

Spike bomb is only bad as a skill issue. Twister is super low because it's not a skill issue, when all you have to do is stand still or use a shield with her special

I knew Sweet Tooth special from TM4 was gonna be number 1 why ? Because that special is engrave in my head for the past 22 years of my life, i was 8 years old when my dad got me the PS1 back in 2003 and TM4 was the game that came with it, i remember having soo much fun playing it, and then it happened, got to the final boss and this bastard uses his special while triggering his shield and all i can hear is those goddamn laughs as my HP goes bye bye,

Twister is my favorite vehicle in TM2, but even that can't stop me from admitting her special is trash. God forbid if you use it against Thumper, because the AI always puts on the flamethrower, and the path of the Tornado has you taking at least 2/3 of the attack.

I'm confused. You say that some specials can be combined with laying mines for added damage, but you're not doing that. Just the special itself. Then for another person you say a special can do more damage if you freeze them.. That's the same thing. Combining directional moves with special moves.. soooo which is it? Lol

Gonna defend Quatro to the death man. Axels special honestly fits a small car better than on Axel himself, but only for Twisted Metal 4. Since it played how it plays. I mean it doesn't do tons of damage, but when your a small car and people start getting too close,or you get frozen its always nice to have an out the second you thaw or just in general. Also sends people in the skybox if hit right. For Quatro,it was perfect. You just have to play him harder,and think of the special as more of a defensive ability. Your weapons will be your special if you use his microwave properly. Also, they made Axel SUPER! So he's gotta have an upgrade. More damage and burning is all that makes sense for his special

Also makes me happy you put grasshopper above tm2 twisters special. It really is better than credits given. It is easy to have it get cut off,causing damage when hitting the opponent, but for a special that homes in and puts you in range to dump power missiles on the poor fellas,it has to have some weaknesses. Also,in an unresponsive game like TM2, ill use that special just to jump on demand😂
