The WORST is when the Lazy One keeps getting raises and promotions somehow, and then you see them years later on LinkedIn and they're somehow on boards or executive positions of good companies making bank. THEN you find out even though they know nothing and completely suck at their jobs, they just happen to be frat brothers with the right people. That's it. Makes me want to give up on bothering at all. 😭

That's Bighead in Silicon Valley. Sometimes the safest one to promote is the predictable dumb/lazy one. It makes you look better, they will agree with everything you say, and they don't threaten your job. That's manager logic anyway.

Had another job where the front desk receptionists had to track everyone’s bathroom breaks…oh I had so much fun with that one. Walk out, get water. Come back in. Then walk back out, you get the idea
