Yes, remember them all. I was 14 and a pop music fanatic. I even used to memorise the lyrics from Disco 45 magazine!

What a stunning year. Probably the first year I started buying singles as a kid - and I have so many of these. Interesting how even the songs I hated at the time are not so awful now (other than the Osmonds) Great video - thank you for compiling.

The only one I really dislike is Long Haired Lover From Liverpool.

The year my aunt was born. Melanie's hit was more well known as a cover by Somerset group the Wurzels. Seeing the rise of glam rock make it's presence and Motown becoming increasingly popular. The New Seekers 'Beg Steal And Borrow' was our Eurovision entry. I prefer the winner from Vicky Leandros 'Come What May' / 'Apres Toi'. Eeeee Gary Glitter. Glad you put the Joker on instead for the Rock N Roll song. Amazing how many I know on this video and it's a golden little year. Thank you for this. My #1 is my all time favourite Christmas Song and one of my favourite artists of all time John Lennon's 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)'. Wonderful and the message today is poignant. This beauty should have been #1. Every year I hope it hits the summit. Other favourites are 'Vincent' by Don McLean, 'Starman' by David Bowie, 'Layla' by Derek and The Dominoes and 'Schools Out' and 'Elected' (should have used this as a campaign song in both elections I (unsuccessfully) did this year 😂) by Alice Cooper. Also a mention for the underrated 'Sugar Me' by the late Lyndsey De Paul. Beautiful pop gem. Many good songs and classics.

Fantastic music and a variety not in the charts now. Happy memories from being ten, still have T Rex, Bowie and Cooper LP's from that year

I turned 11 in 1972. A lot of formulaic middle-of-the-road stuff, a few interesting songs that stand out to this day. Alice Cooper shook things up. A few acts were trying new things. Sweet, T Rex, Roxy Music.

Cela donne in côté "phénomène de foire".
