1:19:22 Cannon soldier saw a huge amount of play even to this day. If you have some kind of infinite summoning loop you can use cannon soldier for FTK's. Though it did get somewhat powercrept by the toon version since that one can be searched with toon table of contents.

I'm with you on the Winged Dragon #1, I thought the Red one was #1, and the Blue one was #2. My thought is that having the iconic Blue one as #2 led me to looking for #1 and finding out it was Red. So weird!

53:50 Sangan was actually already nerfed for it's second printing. The original (which was never released in the TCG, only the OCG) searched a 1500 atk monster when it was sent to the graveyard no matter from where. Meaning if you discarded it with tribute to the doomed you would get your search.

The winged dragon of guardian of The fortress 1 there actually a windged dragon gardening up for fortress 2 but you can only get it in tournament pack either one or two and it's color red yeah. It attack is like 1200 atk and 1000 def

Summoning something from your graveyard is a special summon. A lot of monsters with special summoning conditions like Gate Guardian often have the specification 'you cannot normal or special summon or set this monster,' you must first summon/special summon this monster by doing X. Gate Guardian just says 'you can't normal summon it,' it doesn't say you can't special summon it, so yes, you can discard it and then use Monster Reborn on it. So there, it's viable now. ;D

no, you can't, it says 'must first be special summoned' , monsters with that text are the same as extra deck monsters, you can't special summon them until after they were first special summoned correctly, after that you can special summon them other ways, Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the beginning works that way too, as does every single extra deck monster.

I think you misread the card “big eye” because you’re talking as if the flip affect allows you to see the next 5 cards your opponent controls and set them in any order when it in fact only lets you do it for up to your next 5 cards from your own deck.

Masked Sorc is actually a staple of the Critter Legacy/Time Wizard format , the 1400 def means when it's attacked by Sangan or Witch the opponent takes damage & you draw a card, also with Last Will & a tribute summon you can get out a beater to help open up the opponent + attack in to draw a card, & oc it + Robin' Goblin is a big 2 card swing, & because it has 900 attack it can't be trap holed, so you can use it with a board clear to force out an opponent's Waboku or just attack in past Trap Hole for the draw.

Fake Trap has some applications iirc, it protects stuff like Gravity Bind & Rivalry of Warlords. I've used Blackland Fire Dragon in a Guardragon Link deck before '.' , & I'm currently playing Catapult Turtle FTK just get out a 20,000+ attack monster & lob it at the opponent ^.^ . Decimals round up in ygo. Cannon Soldier & Aile are not once per turn, if you have a tribute material loop they have infinite activations.

The 3 zombie counterparts actually did see quite a bit of play. Because they had exceptionally high stats for their low levels and there are quite a few powerful cards that work with low level normal monsters

Realy random fact. But I remember they made Feral Imp look different in the anime. He looks super cute on the card but in the show he was super crazed looking. Even before the horn upgrade, his eyes were basicaly black. Almost bat like. Let me know if you think so?

Raigeki, mask of darkness and magician of faith are all at 3. I think mask and magician of faith have been unlimited for a few years now but raigeki just came back to 3 on the most recent list. It does feel very weird seeing raigeki at 3, it’s been either banned limited for the 8 years or so that I’ve been playing and was banned for a long while before that

Cannon soldier isn't all bad. It's banned in the ocg, because the effect of tributing a monster to deal effect damage is very abusable in ftk strategies. Amazoness archer is also banned in the ocg for the same reason.

Fake trap was actually good in the first format as a great counter to trap master. Also back then trap master was the only way of destroying back row besides de spell. Your opponent seeing the trap hole wouldn't matter. In fact it might cause them to make suboptimal plays to avoid the trap hole

So I know that in internet terms this video is old now and nobody probably cares anyway, but I believe Gate Guardian would work like an extra deck monster where you would have to have summoned it correctly in order to use a monster reborn or call of the haunted or whatever on it. Since it says "must first be special summoned" I think that is how it works since it doesn't specifically say it can't be special summoned in other ways.

It's always been number 1. I remember thinking Yugi didn't say number 1 because it is number 1, like, there was no need. It's just winged dragon guardian of the fortress to me, and the red one is number 2. And they should have just printed it that way. The number 1 is unnecessary I think. But early yugioh had a lot of unnecessary stuff, like explaining what special summoning is on the first monster reborn.

I have a story with the moth cards. I had yugioh duelist of the rose the moth cards were sweet. It was chess with yugioh cards and you could not get to the moth in time caures a monster could move at most 2 spots you were always 10 spot away from the cpu and you could easy just have monster in front which stop them for that turn. I have the moth became the cocoon I have ultimate moth which poison the cpu monster every turn face up and you would know were spells and traps were caures the poison would not hit them. I always had it in my deck and it help me win lots of games epically if I drew it 1st turn. So you have a 3500 monster that weaken the cpu monster and you knew were to avoid on the board

Yeah , that's what i meant. I heard you can make older decks but the problem is most people in ranked play are using modern decks. So i think they are aware of this issue and will implement different "generations" eventually.
