Yugioh Ant Fact: “Anteatereatingant” is a level 5 Earth, Insect/Effect Monster with 2000 Attack and 500 Defense. It’s effect reads “This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 2 Spell or Trap cards you control to the Graveyard. You can destroy 1 Spell or Trap card your opponent controls. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack this turn.” It’s artwork features a large ant preparing to eat an anteater.

A funny yugioh ant fact regard that card: in german they failed to translate the card correctly and switched it, so its an "ant eating anteater", what destroys the complete purpose of the card ^^

I love the fact they still do Dai Grepher stuff as my dad looks like him to me and I used to say that to my dad when I was little, sadly my dad died when I was 18 from an aneurysm he was 40. I carry a copy of the original version in my wallet until it gets ruined and I replace it with a new one to remember the fond times.

It's been said before but you can mix amazement into traptrix and it's not at all difficult to pilot at a base level. It plays defensive mostly with 'hole' trap cards. Also, given the current ant facts arc, traptrix allomerus references a kind of ant.

34:39 Funny thing is. Trap cards are either very popular or not used at all depending on the format. Recent formats have actually seen the return of trap heavy decks because combo decks now have alot of cards that counter them (Dark ruler no more, forbidden droplet, nibiru, Triple tactics talent etc.) In Short if the format is slow and control based traps are very relevant. If the format is fast and combo based traps are less relevant but can still be played.

How you described how you would personally teach someone how to play Yu-Gi-Oh! is exactly how I've intended to teach someone how to play too. I think of Yu-Gi-Oh! like Kingdom Hearts' story. It sounds complicated on the face of it, but it's really just a lot to understand.

16:45 Actually, ED destruction is really devastating for most decks. It's the reason Lythosagym and Mega Zaborg were so good in their day. It's just that it's stuck on a ritual monster and that it's a reactive effect that sucks.

I am so amazed that you pretty much did the same thing I did over the past months, getting into yugitubers, and watching Cimoooooo's Progression and history series. As for the sending stuff from the extra deck to the Graveyard effect of that Dogmatika card: You can't special summon a monster that got sent straight from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard with something like Monster Reborn, or anything. The same way you couldn't special summon a Ritual monster that way. Those need to have been properly summoned to the field before they can return from the GY.

Paleozoics start as traps and come back as monsters. Paleozoic Canadia is a very popular card in Duel Links. It's pretty much a "book of moon" (can flip a monster into face-down) and it's incredibly annoying to deal with.

Somehow, I have a feeling you would either love or loathe the @Ignister deck depending on your tolerance for puns. XD

Fusion and synchro monsters are actually what I'd use to introduce people to Yu-Gi-Oh. Fusion summoning is the OG extra deck-summoning mechanic and synchro is the next best thing. XYZs are pretty much level-specific contact fusion, but it's also an incredibly broken summoning mechanic because a lot of XYZ-monsters have too generic a summoning condition and links are even worse. Pendulums could've been a second XYZ. They're broken in their own right.

flip effects aren't defunct, they just need to be in a good enough archetype so that they become bonus good stuff rather than a barrier to functioning properly, Shaddolls are the best Flip monster deck, but mainly because they're a Fusion deck & the Flip monsters are a bonus when they get used as Fusion Material
