All racism stems from ignorance. Some are openly racist, others hold racial prejudices without realizing it.
@christiancervantes48212 жыл бұрын
Racism stems from hate. Whites owned slaves, so blacks hates whites. Whites kicked out the Indians, Indian hate whites, white bought California from Mexico, Mexicans hate whites for making them not Mexican, and Hispanics hate whites because everyone south of the border thinks everyone north of the boarder are white people that have it better than them. So ignorance isn't the problem because everyone knows why they hate each other.

@@justindyches5510Contemporary scholarship on race/racism does not support this rendering. The actual distinction you’re making is between “covert” (colorblind, or “polite”) racism, and overt racism; micro vs. macro in other words. Racism isn’t about individual intent, but rather **impact** as it is widely understood to be systemic by critical race scholars. Racism can be upheld and/or perpetuated whether people *intend* to do so or not. Racist thoughts coming from a place of malice or ignorance, is still racist thoughts. Your comments just demonstrate that you’re not very well studied on the subject matter. 🤷🏾♀️
