When my mom was15 yrs old she was getting on a bus in West Virginia and there was a black girl sitting in the front of the bus and the bus was very crowded and the bus driver told the black girl to get up and sit in the back of the bus and let the white lady sit down. Well my mom said NO she will not and my mom sat in the back of the bus instead. This was back in the early1950's before the civil rights movement.
