ok, from what i´ve seen, this is what may happened: i noticed that when i deleted the save data (AFTER i uploaded my save data in the cloud) it also DELETED THE FIRST PROFILE DATA (take note of the oldest data available inside the game folder) EVEN WITHOUT me checking the box before deletion. Now, after i've redownloaded the save data (i f** up in this part by not having the original profile data, now overwritten by the new f** up hahhaah), i've tried several times without being able to obtain the Backtracker Trophy (despite that i've tried many paths of many different guides across youtube). Now, another option or 'issue' (or whatever you wanna call it) that people can try is: after the save data shown at 1:35, GO BACK IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE (when you go back to the main road, instead of follow the video, look at the right hand and you'll see the white house) where the map is, there you can go in front of the map, and you'll find a hidden road that takes you directly to the fence where you supposed to enter (in front of the Tipworth and Haverton warehouse) and from there you can go thru the video again... at least you can try another option before start a new game, isn't it? By the way, A HUMONGOUS THUMBS UP for StayPationt Trophies! incredible detail (i honestly dunno how he does it, damn you're good!) and he makes the whole trophy hunt less annoying hahahha... big hug buddy from South America!

i can now confirm after A WHOLE REPLAY (from scratch) following the same path in the video didn't give me the trophy AGAIN (not your fault StayPationt, you rock! luv ya!)... in my previous save data i included some paths that i can't remember going in this video (including a secondary path in the wheat field) AND STILL NO TROPHY! i also included a "tour" of these paths in the new playthrough AND STILL NO TROPHY! my game is completely glitched or bugged or whatever, unfortunately i will leave the final trophy hunt aside because it is beyond impossible, by the time i finished THE WHOLE CAMPAIGN i'm writing this and i'm exhausted, there's no way in my console that this trophy pops up, so, i hope the developers find the way to solve this annoying muthaf...g error that made many people rage quit (i know and i'm aware that software error are possible and quite common, but c'mon devs! please fix this one!). I will play sporadically again and any news i will post here only due to lack of time. Regards!

PROBLEM SOLVED! HERE'S A WORKAROUND: start a new game BUT DO NOT INTERACT WITH ANYTHING (except in Lizzie's chapter where you'll have to interact with all interactions (automated or motion) where the light takes you in order to get Stephen chapter and from there on, go straight to the final part where you have to follow the video 01:35:57) just go straight on the main road AND TRY NOT TO DEVIATE to the grass the least as possible, STAY on the road in every chapter (except Lizzie's). SIDE NOTE: in the final road bifurcation, GO FIRST ON THE RIGHT and enter the gate, go a few feet (a few meters too, doesn't matter), then go back to the left, then go outside on the road and BLING! TROPHY EARNED! (yes, i found that in my console DOES affect this order of going left or right, so, feel free to try in this order too, but if you follow the video you may have to start a game all over again, so, i highly recommend to go right hand first). To StayPationt: if you got asked again about this ANNYOING trophy, tell them this recipe, it should work after every failure and try as it happened to me, this is a last resource where everything else has failed and every other guide across the web also failed (yes i've followed most of them).

OK so a guide people have been asking for and that is (imo) better than any currently on KZbin as it covers everything in one go has gotten a 2:1 likes/dislikes ration before enough time has passed for people to have even watched it. Nice. I didn't get the Backtracker Trophy immediately after doing the Radio Enthusiast walkthrough. That's okay because there was an easy remedy. I had to start a new game and then I followed your Radio Enthusiast walkthrough but didn't bother with the radios but made sure each one of the names to unlock the next areas popped up, Jeremy, Lizzie, Stephen etcetera. I also didn't bother with motion triggering events. I just simply went straight through and when I got near the bunker I followed your guide for the Backtracker walkthrough (once again I must repeat I didn't motion trigger any events) and finally got the trophy. I didn't have any saves going through the second time so it was a straight shot and it only took about 5 to 10 minutes following in your footsteps (for the most part). So thanks and appreciate the video. Peace.

I eagerly anticipated this game when it came out and got it as soon as it did. I found the imagery to be totally exquisite, but could never save so I always had to go back to the start. I have now wasted about 30 hours of my life on it and can't be bothered to complete it as what you have shown as necessary to complete it will bore me to death. Thanks for posting. Thx for walkthrough, got platinum in the end. I tried Backtracker for the third time getting Bibliophile in a new run, totally avoiding the bunker area. This time it worked fine. So it seems getting the last radio before doing Backtracker glitches that trophy, like you said in comments. I bought the game yesterday because there was a considerable discount. In the end I don't regret it, they just could have done a better job with the collectibles, displaying how far you were or making them stackable over several runs.

I’d suggest putting the video at 0.75x speed it moves at a good pace. Might work better for .5x but it efficiently got me the platinum within 4 hours. Happy trophy hunting!

I played this years ago first time, and then tried for the achievements I didn't get first run, but my game crashed on me several times and I fell through the map at a point or two which made me drop it then due to the slow walking speed as well as not being able to manually save. I'm back to it now thanks to this because it feels doable with your help. Also it's been so long now I quite enjoy experiencing it again. Astoundingly beautiful game, just wish for sprinting ability, at least for a second playthrough, should be like an unlockable once you finish it, that'd motivate achievement hunters. The only trophy I got for this game was back in 2016!! Today I just got the platinum thanks to your awesome guide! I really enjoyed the game, I think something about it being set in the UK really resonated with me, seeing places, buildings & hearing accents that are instantly familiar grounded the game in a believable reality. Backtracker glitched for me but it was quick enough to start a new game and follow the road straight to the backtrack point and from then on it popped.

I always wanted to experience this one because I knew the story was worth it but the first five minutes of walking around really turned me off of playing it for a while. This was so efficient that I was able to get through it without feeling like tearing my hair out.

Fantastic Guide! Clear and concise throughout and strangely quite engaging for a one way conversation. My favourite part was the third emergency vehicle siren going through :P Unfortunately, I suffered the Backtracker trophy glitch and had to use another guide just for that trophy, but big thanks for your help with all the other trophies!

Yeah, just make sure the save icon has appeared and disappeared in the corner and it's good to go. Alternatively you could just put the ps4 straight into Rest mode ;)

i really appreciate this guide like i can’t imagine how long it took organizing everything & writing the notes but holy god it probably lengthened my own playthrough by a lot just because i kept having to pause and unpause the video as i was following along since it was sped up 😭 it would have been so much easier without the edits BUT i understand why they’re there
