All of our core player have been performing well. Talbot is insane this year. A lot of problems with this team, but our core players have been outstanding, especially Raymond.

Raymonds start this season compared to last season is much better. If he has a hot streak like he had at the final stretch of the season we could be looking at a 90 point player in Raymond. Without trading, he might be our best chance at a super star in the making keeping in mind he is still only 22 years old.

This is the only podcast I watch regularly watch/listen to. Appreciate what you guys do. As a Michigander now out west, can be tough sometimes to stay in the loop of Red Wings news. As an optimistic homer, this team can get find a groove, get hot and sneak into the playoffs. Especially considering how the East has been looking. LGRW!!!!

Lalonde should be fired no matter how well the wings play. Asking Talbot to win games with a .950 save percentage is a bit much. I want to see wins with a sub par save percentage. When the goalies let in a couple softies.

First of all - EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND Ed and Mo are a dream. However, I think he also has his confidence thanks to Mo Seider. Let's be honest, he didn't always look so confident with Petry. This duo is going to be one of the best ever. Both can play offense and defense. Nobody has a weakness. ASP will take over Detroit's PP, I think. Positives, Seider doesn't have to do everything & has more strength for PK and 5 on 5. 2-3 years, then this team will become really dangerous. Add some Rockies next year, the team is settling in. Really looking forward to it, unfortunately it will take time though. General opinion on yzerman- has done enough things to be questioned, but the term of all the contracts shows his idea of when this team will become a team.

My expectations for next year is what we accomplished last year maybe higher. My reasoning is last year was a fluke and neither this year or last year's roster was going to accomplish a wildcard result the way we wanted it to. Another reason for higher expectations is one we have some old contracts falling off and my hope that the off-season will bring better off season moves for future talent/depth.

You won't see more than 1 rookie come up next year. ASP is the only one with an elite of talent that can make the SHL TO NHL graduation. Just because Lombardi had one good season in GR doesn't constitute an immediate call up the following season.

If a cash strapped team like Colorado who needs a goalie are willing to give up a 1st for talbot 50% retained I’d do it in a second. He’s been great but he won’t be here longterm and I would just as easy sign Lyon at season’s end and go with a Cossa Lyon tandem next season Can use that 1st in a package deal for a k’andre Miller if he’s actually available or someone of that caliber

I think keeping Talbot is a must. If Cossa is ready next season I would like Talbot to mentor him. Talbot has 1 more year on contract and Lyon is a free agent. If I was to move anyone I would move Lyon. Getting some value out of a free agent is a better play. Besides it would be pretty bad if we traded Talbot and Lyon walked.

@@JackConrad-e4v I’m sure Lyon would sign a 2 year extension, that can easily be done before a trade is announced. Sure talbot is better atm than Lyon but if we can get a 1st for a 38 yr old goalie that we can then use in a big deal for a player that can be here longterm it’s a no brainer

Yzerman was a bit constrained by cap in 2024. Mainly with the unknown of Raymond and seider contracts. 2025 he needs to make a splash for a def. People also forget yzerman made 3-4 moves for ahl players which have also helped griffins start the season strong. Which is a nice bonus for the rookies. But he did let ghost walk which I think has hurt the wings.

Constrained because of a slew of previous bad UFA signings? He's spent to the cap, that doesn't feel overly constrained to me. If the rumor about him not being allowed to offer a 4th year to Stamkos is true, and that is why he landed in Nashville, then us fans should be thankful Illitch stepped in as that contract would be yet another boat anchor veteran contract on the roster. Ideally Yzerman felt Stamkos wasn't worth 4x $8M and just didn't offer it.

@ predictions. Lalonde fired this season at some point. And yzerman fired if they don’t make the playoffs in the 25/26 season. Regardless of the reason next offseason will give yzerman more room to work some magic with the roster. If he fails he is gone. Lalonde is most definitely gone this season. Maybe not till the end of the season. But he’s gone
