Join us as we look back on an unforgettable celebration of Black fatherhood at "Everyday is Black History - Honoring and Celebrating the Unsung Fathers," held on June 23rd at Jasper P Driver Plaza! This inspiring event was dedicated to uplifting the Black communities of Oakland and Berkeley, providing cultural enrichment and essential resources despite systemic challenges. This year, we successfully debunked misconceptions surrounding Black fatherhood and celebrated their diverse and invaluable contributions.
Highlights of the event included:
🎶 Performances by local artists like Dame Drummer, T_B_A, Atmospheric Funk, MC Brother Ptah, DJ Ball-D, Eseibio the Automatic, Opium Sabah, and Bella Martrice.
🎨 Activities for the whole family, including a children's tent, bouncy house, skating rink, food vendors, and local craft artists.
This event was not just a celebration but a powerful statement of support for Black fathers and their pivotal roles in our communities. Thank you to everyone who spread the word, brought friends and family, and helped make this celebration unforgettable!
