Awesome work, I try to have a no plateau attitude. If I think about a plateau, this brings me down. The body follows the mind. If you have a positive attitude, it will work wonders. Side note: I believe the arm flexing up is called tone/overactive muscles. Spasticity is more of a muscle shaking if I'm not mistaken. I pray you have a full recovery. Take care.

Me too, inner thigh muscles and hamstrings pretty much disappeared but after 17 months and almost a year of twice-weekly light gym sessions and as much as I can do at home, I can see and feel them returning. I never thought that one day my dream would be to have 2 legs that look the same. That’s how it is though, small and very slow improvements. Thanks again for your encouraging videos.

@@strokerecoveryworkouts Well, let’s put it this way; The nurse at hospital told my wife I might not make it through the first night and my wife was not allowed to see me for over a week so 17 months later I’m still alive so I’ll take slow recovery without complaining. I have adjusted my expectations and settled into my new life with relative ease, considering. I appreciate the simple things more now and friends are amazed at how upbeat I am. It does help having a good woman by my side and 3 grown up supportive children, so I count myself lucky in that respect.

I admire your mental toughness. Stroke is one of life’s lessons that really shape one’s mindset to win DAILY. I suffered a Thalamus hemorrhaging stroke early 2021. Was in hospital more than a month. What I can say is that improvements always come down the road, no matter how far out of days/months. Trust the process. Try to look into grounding (earthing) & sunning. Those two helped tremendously in my spasticity

Never give in to self sorrow - it has taken me 3.5 years and my right foot is becoming normal and the right leg is starting to bend. Focus on things other than recovery and keep moving!

Hi rich, I'm glad your girl could go and see you. You guys always have so much fun. Um, yeah, I'm just trying to work out here The shoulders still kinda crappy, but I'm raising it. to the steering wheel about five times, but only. when there's no one around on the long country road of course. And then I did notice when I played the metronome to clock my walk, so to speak It was 52 which is kind of slow a while ago And this time today I was able to do 60 to 65. So I have some. improvement there But my knees been bothering me because I believe I've been walking around my house without the cane and I put. my put more weight on that side. So hopefully it's, you know, just got a strengthened and I got like a one of those knee brace fabric kind. anyway I'm glad you're doing well and I'm glad you're driving now. That's great.

no i hate the brace. my knee will b ok in a few days im sure. the brace reg afo i believe weakens my leg. i do use it when i mow and the grass is too cushy because my ankle still sometimes is weak. i watch my form when i walk and do pool therapy daily since it is cheap the reason my knee and hip are hurting is because im walking more and more in my house without the cane which means less leaning on good side@@strokerecoveryworkouts

I just got the music Glove. I kind of have to pass. move my fingers a little bit, but they're getting better and they're moving a little bit more on their own thing. I like about that music love thing is at least it's not a subscription. I can just use it and it's mine. It's kind of fun too, actually. But yeah, that's my thing too lately is a fingers, especially extension.
