Many of Chinese food was linked to Shu DongPo, a famous historical figure in ancient China, the studio people were telling another food linked to him and were joking that DongPo really loves to eat. Last vlog in HongZhou also has a dish linked to him, DongPo meat

Love it. When he said pearls, I think he was meaning boba tea tapioca pearls, but in strips instead. I believe these pearls, at least in the US, have little taste :)

I think he was joking about "bleeding" hand, I guess it should be that he worked so hard to peel them. The orange round thing is salted egg yolk. Pearl in this contex is a kind of topping in bouble tea ( you can serch, it is very popular drink in China ), it has a chewy tecture, is made of starch.

I know I've seen this vlog before but I didn't remember it all lol. I was surprised there wasn't more seafood dishes on the menu in a place like Hainan (but pleasantly surprised since I don't like seafood either hahaha)
