dengdeng老师,我叫黎善。I really appreciate that your instructions are also in Mandarin!!! This is greatly improving my technical listening/speaking skills and expanding my technical vocabulary👌🏽 This task is definitely more challenging!! However at some point in the near future, I will not have to read the English subtitles while you’re instructing. I will be able to listen to the entire video comfortably in Mandarin👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 谢谢!!

v+过, “过”表示过去,it‘s a particle。eg. 吃过、看过、听过;“我妈过生日” here “过” is a verb, means spend. eg. 过生日、过新年、过圣诞节

你想都别想, can really be translated to : "don't you even think about it", But in the sketch you use "not a chance" which has the same meaning; meaning no. wonder why you didn't use dont't you even about it.
@EverydayChinese
@EverydayChinese 4 жыл бұрын
Both are OK. We have more than three English translators. The final version was revised by one of them. We also use “Don’t even think about it“ in the description and quiz. Check it out.
@lungchan1729
@lungchan1729 4 жыл бұрын
你想太多了, I'm really not sure this can be translated to you are thinking too much in english. I think we can use " you are thinking too much" when someone has a difficult situation and we're trying to comfort someone not to keep thinking about it. To let go. It can also be a mean phrase when insinuating someone is asking too much questions. In the situation of the restaurant where she doesn't want to pay for the bill. I would be more appropriate to say: Don't insist, I don't have money to pay for you part. For me "you think to much" doesn't have the NO meaning...

@EverydayChinese

It's actually the normal speed that most students should get used to. You can also slow down the speed by changing the playback speed in settings of the player. To change the video's playback speed by slowing down (or speeding up if you like) the video 25% (or custom speed) at a time on desktop computers/laptops OR 0.75 at a time on smartphone: COMPUTERS AND LAPTOPS💻 : Open the video, then go to the lower right of the video's screen and click on the settings icon (it looks like a GEAR) > Playback speed > 0.75. Or customize the speed: On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link "custom". Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 10% at a time. SMARTPHONES📱: Open the video, tap the screen and go to the upper right of the video's screen. You will find the menu with 3 dots there. Tap the menu > the "playback speed". Then you will be able to control the video's playback speed by slowing down (or speeding up if you like) the video 25% at a time. ⌛ Suggestion: Try to watch the video over two times. First time with normal speed, and the second or third time with slower speed so that you can catch what the native speakers are saying until you get used to the normal speed of REAL Chinese conversations.
