Nice but I preferred to upgrade the ESC and motor and radio and a couple of more bits than adding too much aluminum. Two of my X-Maxx trucks have the max 5 combo with the 1100kv motor and 25/35 gearing. They are a BEAST.

Hey what’s up man?! Sorry for the late reply. I appreciate it thank you for subscribing. Glad you enjoyed the video. You mixed one of the most bulletproof parts (RPM), with one of the most fragile (Integy). Can you explain your reasoning?
@EVERYDAYRC3 жыл бұрын
Sure! I would say it’s hard to call anything bulletproof when you’re bashing. Anything will break if you push it hard enough. Rpm is extremely durable plastic and I have always used it through the years to add durability to my vehicles. I have also used integy through the years And I have found that it is equally as durable. I have never used integy a-arms But when using them for axel carriers and steering hubs I found that they work great for me and they never break and I have push them through the test. So if you want real life feedback. I can tell you that the aluminum parts I have put on this truck are durable and have absolutely no issues. People just like to hate on them for some reason

@EVERYDAYRC4 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I’ve heard of people having this problem but fortunately for me it has never happened. Sorry I can’t help but best of luck.
@Willisfitner Жыл бұрын
You need to thicken the diff oil not thin it. You can use silicone ear plugs and stuff them as full as possible, with light weight the gears can rotate freely so they get going to fast and destroy themselves. Especially when the weight is unloaded.

I drive and jump the crap out of my xmaxx and the only thing I break all the time is the front and rear bumper supports. None of those parts that you show break on me TBH. I am having heat issues and motors failing on me after I started messing around with the gearing (50t spur gear and pinions bigger than 18t), so I'm probably going back to stock 54/18 gearing since my xmaxx 8s was way more reliable at those numbers TBH. What gearing do you run? I guess I'm also running my xmaxx almost non stop, so that doesn't help with the heat 🙁. Oh yeah and the stock bodies don't last long, even with gorilla tape reinforcement.
@EVERYDAYRC4 жыл бұрын
Yea man. This truck has been through a lot in the past 5 years. Can’t believe it took this long to break this part. Cant remember the gearing I’m using but it is for the high speed set up. You’re probably having overheating issues because mine is set up for TOP end and yours is set up for bottom end. You’re getting more revolutions on the motor which is creating more heat . I eventually would like to get a pro line body but this is only the second body I put on this truck in five years. The first body lasted one bash and this one has lasted for many years
@joseCalderon19764 жыл бұрын
@@EVERYDAYRC I'm not sure what you mean by top end VS bottom end. I have the max 6 esc and the other small upgrades. I run my truck in a very hot environment and on grass and dirt. Unless you put one of those bigger motors and stronger esc.

why are people so quick to put metal parts on high impact areas, metal parts are not flexible and just send high impact energy to other parts of the truck. Theirs nothing to soak up the shock and it just rips other parts of the truck apart, plus they are expensive just to have them bend or tweak. Maybe its just for looks...but its definitely not practical.

I’ve never had any problems with integy through the years. Only use them in key parts of the vehicle

Softest aluminum money can buy lmao

Guess that’s your opinion. I’ve used a lot of different aluminum’s through the years and the integy that I have bought has performed well for me. I would never use on High impact or stress areas or to bling out my vehicle. Especially a-arms. If you use them as I did here on this build should not have any issues. I’m speaking from experience. I use what works son. 💪👍😊

Hey @EVERYDAY RC, is there a link for the shock covers? I like how they Velcro and match the Xmaxx. Trying to build a list for an upcoming vehicle to the collection 👍
