i was blowing much more rear bearings, 2 years in on the rpm upgrade and holding up great!, for the battery latch i flipped them upside down, and then i just screw them shut ahhahahah, i built my centre shaft out of steel but it is too heavy, i am gonna do what you did with the split, i like it.. buddy selling the little plastic piece is crazy, 100 bucks, wtf he thinking! ahhaha, great stuff man, we RC similar, just do what it takes, make it simple and functional! love it

I modded all my XMAXX’s with 2 Velcro across sideways and one along the length. In fact, I do that with all my cars. I’ll mod my drive shafts, thanks for the tips!

I forgot I watched this video. Great tips!!! My only question is, what gears are you using?
@thunderrc3 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, I use a 46 tooth spur , typically and GDS or Hot racing and I 23 Tooth Pinion, Robinson Racing. 👍
@SpeedSyko3 жыл бұрын
@@thunderrc well I have 2 XMAXX’s way over built to drive, I have all the parts but the Robinson racing gears. I’ll give it a shot and see if I can get them back in bash mode. Thanks again.

good job man. didn't you change the motor and spur ?
@thunderrc3 жыл бұрын
Thank you my brotha! I'm still working the kinks out on that one mate. Trying to keep this rig as light as possible. Right now it is a featherweight. Was thinking about putting the leopard 1340 kv in there cause it is not as heavy as most 1/5 motors and the higher kv would be good for Xmaxx and flips.

@@thunderrc good way of thinking ! what's its rtr weight now ?

hey bud, what gearing do you recommmend on 1100 kv motor for xmaxx? thanks
