That is great to hear that they fixed this major fast DC charging issue, from my understanding that was the only real issue that was negative on this EV!

Been in one. Nice place to be. Agree about the driving position. If they had made the mileage more competitive I think the sales would have been much stronger. I've also heard the 35 minute charging is from any percent to 80 due to how Toyota throttles the charge. 10-80 35 minutes, 40-80 35 minutes, 60-80 35 minutes. Other ev's although the charge slows the higher the percent of battery charge, it's not even close to that bad. If your traveling it basically forces you to arrive at a charger at a low state of charge to get the most bang for your time, and given the infrastructure, that can be risky.

Just got my Subaru Solterra a month ago and charging was a disappointment.5% to 100% took me 2 DAYS and 4 HOURS to get the car fully charged. This is good if you only drive around your city or hometown. No rear window wiper and visibility was impossible during rainy days. Slow heater too at rear window. I dread to drive this during winter . I am from Chicago. Not recommended.

Are you charging with just 110V? I didn’t notice the lack of rear wiper bad at all. You want bad, drive my IONIQ 5, now that’s bad without wiper.

our RAV4 plug-in only has around 80km EV range, but we almost never use the gas engine, a level 2 charger makes a hugh difference

Please ask Subaru to add sound selection alternates to the "reverse warning chime". It would be great to choose between various spoken languages (English, Mandarin, Korea, Japanese, French, German, etc.) that would announce "reversing" or the equivalent spoken word options. Too many varied, but still generic chime sounds become tedious & ignored for importance. A spoken "reverse...reverse...reverse..." at the same or slower cadence as the current reversing chime would be unique. Also, interior-wise, shiny anything (chrome, piano black plastic, etc.) sucks safety-wise. Blinding shiny reflections should be prohibited within the interior. Your camera work is awesome. Thanks again.

It's nice....but I haven't one on the road yet.

In my opinion, except for city driving, 224 miles on a full charge is unacceptable in a modern EV. An 80% charge level is recommended for daily driving, bringing the range down to ~179 miles.

If you can get this for under 30,000 in the United States brand new after the expiring 7500.00 Federal tax rebate, it's a good option for some: especially if you live in colder regions of the United States, but otherwise, it's questionable if your not better off with a cheaper 2024 VW ID PRO which you can get in some cases for just 30K and don't need the AWD: P.S. Perfect car in a way for LYFT and UBER rental side income , where heavy snow and difficult road conditions are common 3 to 4 months of the year, now that they fixed the DC charging limitations:

I'm not sure about the head-turning, it's not the best-looking EV out there. Other problems, charging time (35 minutes is average) and poor range.
@EverydayReviews20223 ай бұрын
@@denault3985 It was a head turner in Victoria lol. 35 min is more than adequate even on road trips. I guess it all depends how much you DCFC. We have 350 kW with the Ioniq 5 but kinda means nothing for us, we just charge at home overnight. Will agree that more range would be welcome 🙏

Way too expensive/overpriced

Not sure that’s true at least from a leasing perspective. The sticker price on a bunch of EVs is a ridiculous red herring if you’re a leasing candidate
