As a medic in the army I was issued the tomahawk. Loved it. Great light and super handy

Take that general design and lengthen the handle, use two 18650, bump the lumens up to about 500, and then they will have a good consumer product.

Great review. I’ve used their Tomahawk mounted on a plate carrier. Very solid product.

I purchased one and I had problems with the waterproofness twice and it never kept water out. Good warranty service but not waterproof at all. And for me it should be waterproof at that price.

Similar to the Streamlight Sidewinder, also 2xAA. The Sidewinder Compact is 1xCr123a.

I like the flashlight and the whole idea and how it works,but the recommendations are exactly the ones I'd like to see on a new light too,can you give us any updates if they apply new features to the light 🙏

Yeah - we're in agreement.

Thanks for the review. This is an interesting light, but I am confused about the batteries. You said it will not run rechargeables but I use Eneloops as the first tier for all my AA devices and then carry Energizer lithium ion as emergency in-the-field backups. Why wouldn't this work? Or would it.
@EverydayTacticalVids6 жыл бұрын
That was mid-stated. I was trying to say that I’d like to see a rechargeable battery with more power than the AA size.
@dowtech6 жыл бұрын
Rather than the outdated CR125s, all they would have to do is tweak the electronics to run 14500s, which are the same size as AAs, thus keeping the same form factor but with a much higher output.

reminds me of a "periscope" flashlight my dad had that was my grandpa's when he served our country in the military. wish I knew what happened to it.

I think going to an 18650 would make sense to inprove the run time. Also, the switch-interface seems so unconventional as to be confusing. BUT- the design of the 'light with a grip, and a swivel head' I do like. 90 degree lights make a lot of sense, and the red, blue and green modes are certainly desirable. A good start, but needs some work

Reminiscent of the old G.I. angle head flashlight w/multi color lenses that took D-cell batteries that I used back in the 80’s through the mid 90’s. Any U.S.VET that served back then will remember. But this device is much better without a doubt. I’m going to BUT IT & TRY IT!

Nice light - but like others have said, needs 18650's and USB recharge.

I LIKE IT...BUT, possibly good light for on the boat. needs 18650!! They are all over Amazon and Ebay. Also needs the USB recharge.....''keep up with others if ya want to play in this market.'' the double A's kill this for me. MO' POWER! needed. or get off the porch

Have you ever seen light thrown to create trees, bushes, etc. Someone or a group is using light (I think) to create bushes trees grass outside of my home. They also project pictures into my home on the walls. I don't know how it's being done but I'm scared to death. Local law enforcement is not helpful. Trees and bushes appear from what looks like nowhere. I traced branches and it looks like they are coming out of a big flashlight or a hair dryer. Please help if you know how this is being done. I have tons of photos and videos. These people are also camo experts. I'm 53 yr old mother of four. I'm a veteran. I'm an Attorney and I desperately need help. Thanks for the video. Now I know what I've been recording. Thank you Maria Spencer

2018, AA batteries have no business in flashlights over 1 a dollar.
@extrastuff94636 жыл бұрын
AA and AAA have their place still in my opinion but only for compact 1xAA or twisty 1xAAA type models. I wouldn't want to see an AA model being much larger than for example a Zebralight sc53 form factor. In a design like the subject of the video my preference would be to make it large enough to fit two 18650 batteries. reference page for mentioned Zebralight torch: www.zebralight.com/SC53c-AA-Neutral-White-High-CRI-Flashlight_p_201.html

They may want to consider the use of 14500 batteries. As is, it’s a pos.
