Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these torches. You've given me a couple of ideas. I do have a slightly higher opinion of a couple of the flashlights than you, but that's OK. (P16, IF23, Baton Turbo). I was curious about the lack of Wuben. Did you have a bad experience there?

I appreciate the video. I admit I’m a streamlight fanboy but I’ve used them for over 20 years in very demanding environments. I once was forced to use one to chip out ice from a locked up wheel well in -30 degree weather and I still use that light every now and then till this day. I stick to primary battery lights as well because I am constantly using my light and can’t afford down time for recharging but I see the use. I agree the microstream usb is pretty bad and almost never use mine. Thanks for the vid!

You started with the best keychain flashlight ever. No modes, no accidental activation in the pocket, wallet or purse (in my mom's case). IMini2 is probably the only flashlight that win with no doubt its category.

The FC12 is an absolutely fantastic light, but it has a bug: when in low mode sometimes it doesn't turn on and needs to be reset by pressing the side switch for 5 seconds. (I personally experienced this bug). Whis they fixed it since it has been known for a while Anyway, great video
@brandonlee85828 сағат бұрын
All true... sometimes you can also reset by pressing 5 times. Otherwise, battery removal works every time. But 18350 tube and warrior mini clip still makes this one of my favorite thrower lights to carry.
@mjiopytrklk7 сағат бұрын
@@brandonlee8582 while I still prefer the FC12 I think the convoy s6 (which I have) is a good choice for a small thrower. The UI isn't as good as the FC12, but it's lighter and even cheaper.

It’s funny 🤔, I’m sitting here watching this great 1-hour video about flashlights (super entertaining and informative as always! 👍), but I still can’t find something that matches my needs. I’m currently using the Wurkkos FC11 with 1,300 lumens, about 144 meters of range, and a color temperature around 4,000K with a CRI of 90. The size is perfect for the pocket, the waterproofing (IPX-7) is good, and I love that you can swap out the battery 🔋. BUT I really wish it had a more focused beam - somewhere around 56,000 cd for a longer throw, but keeping the 1,300 lumens. I wouldn’t mind more lumens, but the beam pattern is the priority. I’d also prefer longer battery life over more brightness, as 1,300 lumens is enough for me. Also, I’d love an improved button and handling of the UI. A rotating head would be nice for work situations too, but that’s secondary. Any recommendations that fit these specs?❤

The FC12 has an SFT40 with 2000LM and over 25,000CD, try that one.

I just ordered the fc11c the other day ($21 with a battery on wurkkos' site). I was looking to do the opposite as you. I currently carry a pokelit most days and have a Fenix tk16 v2 that I got as a gift a couple years ago. The tk16 is a monster and while a little chunky, does work in a pocket. And the tail cap button on the pokelit is gross feeling, great light though. I wanted something "in-between". Small enough to carry everyday and sort of a pleasing, usable light for my daily situations. I guess just a "boring" every day light. So I landed on the fc11c. Plus, if I need a throwy light, the Fenix is really something special to have in your pocket.

@@robertmorano2372 Thank you so much! It’s funny, the more you dive into the details, the more specific your requirements become, and it gets harder to find something that meets them. There are thousands of great flashlights, but somehow you end up almost blinded by all the options.

Olight Arkfeld pro and Warrior mini 3 will always be my edc, something about them just makes them perfect to me. If/when the Arkfeld Ultra gos on sale again I'll probably grab one of them. I ended up getting the loop SK03 and while it is cool I don't think it's anything special. I will give it one thing however, it is far easier to give to someone and they will almost always be able to use both functions without instructions. Compared that to a Rovyvon A8 or A28, witch might be one of the more complex lights with a similar functionality. Probably going to return it because I am the only one who would need side LEDs and I have a A8 and A28.

yea, there is something to be said about flashlights that are too complex.

Can't believe you didn't rate the Wurkkos HD11 higher... If we're talkin versatility, there's not much quality competition (yet)... I have the old nitecore MT21C, the Wuben L1, and Arkfeld Flex. All great swivel head work lights... but all the features of the HD11 just raises the bar IMO.

I gotta disagree with the Olight Baton 3 Pro not being as good as the 3 Pro Max. It's smaller, lighter, has the timer feature. The Pro Max only has 5200CD where the Pro has over 7000CD. I think that's enough to make it a better carry.

I would disagree with your placement of MH12 pro, it's a strictly tactical/self-defense flashlight and heat dissipation is really not an issue when you're just doing bursts. Also great as a compliment to a headlamp to cover both close and far distances. I've used it pretty heavily outdoors in hot summer and it only once got hot enough for me to not gorilla grip it lol. Tbh I don't know what you would need such a huge throw for over a minute unless you're hunting or messing around like me.
@maxlvledc3 сағат бұрын
It is NOT a tactical flashlight. Otherwise I would give it a pass. In order for it to be a Tactical light..pressing the tail must ALWAYS go to either strobe or Turbo. As it sits, if you are in low the last time you use it and forget to swap, your in trouble. Many other lights do this better.

Great video really helps someone understand where they might want to spend their money. Just a thought since you have the Olight mini 3 in best ATM, you should do a side by side of the Olight Warrior 3 mini vs the Sofrin Sp31 v3. I’ve got both and I actually think the Sofrin is the better light. Brightness is nearly identical at turbo, I think the beam profile is better, I prefer it’s moon mode, doesn’t get as hot as fast, doesn’t step down as quickly, and has usb c charging. I’d be very interested to see your take on it.

@@maxlvledc sp31 v3 is only a little longer maybe 5-6mm. All other dimensions are pretty much the same. TIR lens for both and both are regulated. Olight could be argued it has a better ui, but I find the simplicity of the Sofrin kind of nice.
