In the competitive compact SUV segment, the latest Hyundai Tucson checks all the boxes. It offers an efficient base model with a four-cylinder gas engine as well as a gas-electric hybrid trim and a plug-in hybrid version with up to 33 miles of all-electric range. On the road, the Tucson has a premium feel, thanks to its comfortable ride and quiet cabin. Acceleration is lackluster with the base engine, but the hybrid models get additional punch from their electric motors. The Tucson's interior is spacious for the class, with plenty of room for passengers and a generous cargo area. All trim levels come with a long list of standard features and advanced safety technology. Upper trim levels add options such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen interface, premium audio, and customizable ambient lighting. Primary competitors to the Tucson include the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Chevrolet Equinox.

I had a 2017 Hyundia Tucson limited at 160000 km, the transmission(solenoid), awd coupler and intercooler corrosion went at a $6000 to repair, that along with calipers and rotors not lasting a year (3 times in two years I replaced them all) spurred me to dump it on a trade in. Trade in value $3000 as is, or $9000 repaired. In 2017 that car was $40,000(Cnd). I'm blaming bad roads and salt, as I live in the northeast.

I just bought the 2024 Tucson Hybrid N-line. I only have 65 miles on it. I’ve read that it doesn’t get the mpg’s it’s supposed to. I hate the backup alarm. We quieted it up somewhat because it was obnoxious. This car needs not only a backup camera, it needs parking sensors. I couldn’t afford the limited so I had to settle for less options that I liked.

I bought a brand new Tucson NLine 2024 1.6Turbocharged Hybrid in March. I love this vehicle. Last week I had gone to the road trip and I was doing 200+km/h and the tire sensor started giving me error that it cannot detect the sensor the moment I slowed it down it was back to work. I believe the air pressure sensor was having hard time to link with the system on such speed. Rest everything is perfect and I’m getting really good mileage with 4.7L /100km

I bought my 2015 2.4 Tucson with about 41K on it I think around 2018. I believe I paid around 14,500 for it then. Haven't done a single thing to it since except had transmission fluid changed. I change the oil every 3-5K using synthetic oil. It has the 2.4 Theta II which have been known to have metal shavings in them from Manufactuing and have recalls enabling or update knock sensor. But nothing to fix if you have a bad engine. They replaced lots of engines but so far, mine has 91K now and still doing great. Covid saved me over 10K miles in 2020/2021 since worked from home. My sister had a 2013 new and a 2019 and she hasn't had any issues with hers either. I love the AWD and can squeak 30 mpg on long trips. At least that is what the dash tells me.:)

I own a 2018 Hyundai Tucson Limited 1.6t AWD, purchased used in 2020 for a little over 21k. It had less than average miles and was serviced according to manufacturers specs. I don't foresee any major issues, but only plan on keeping the car another 2 years. My driving is only about 5k per year, so it should have decent resale value and about 50k miles once I'm ready to sell.

@@ryancase8858I did buy one and the longer I have it the more I hate it. Biggest purchasing mistake of my life. I hate the fact that it is data tracking everything. I hate all the damn “driving” features that you have to turn off in the computer every time you start the car if you don’t want them on. I pray daily for a tree to fall on it or someone to steal it. I will sell this thing at a loss if necessary to the first person that shows up to buy it. I have it listed for the exact payoff amount and I lower it every month after I send away my hard earned dollars. I used to love just going for drives. Now I literally avoid driving unless it is absolutely necessary. DONT SELL YOUR OLDER CARS. You will be selling your privacy and your freedom along with it.

@@MrMhmd4 Hate it. DO NOT RECOMMEND! It isn't actually the car itself that I hate. It is the spy tech that I can not get rid of and was not aware was in the car. Cameras that watch you as the driver, microphones that listen that can't be turned off, driver "assistance" features that must be turned off every single time you start the car that are more that irritating. 2 dealerships and Hyundai corporate refused to tell me where the modem and microphone(s) are located in the vehicle. They are not feature if I don't want them and if I can't get rid of them but must pay for it then I am not free. Since I bought the car in May of 23 I have put less than 4000 miles on it. I will sell it to the first person that makes me an acceptable offer. But unfortunately I, like too many others, got a horrible deal on a car that has been since revalued way below the price I paid. Worst financial decision of my life. I will never buy a new car from a dealership again. We must stand up for the things we want and stand against the things we don't. I am more concerned for my right to privacy then anything else. This car as well as more and more tech based items are infringing upon my right to privacy and not using these products is becoming harder and harder. United we stand...divided we fall. Side note, touch screens in a car is beyond stupid. Push to start is also garbage. They are slowly making cars moving prison cells that we pay for but don't own or control. DON'T BUY THESE TYPE OF CARS. LET THEM ROT ON THEIR LOTS UNTIL THEY MAKE REAL CARS AGAIN.

So every problem and stat quoted in this video is all based on older models of the Tucson, while he's showing pictures of the current 2022-2024 Tucsons which are completely redesigned and share little in common with the older previous Tucsons he was talking about. It's valid stats for older Tucsons, but frankly a little disingenuous to show all videos of the current Tucson imho. If he wants to talk nothing but stats of the older Tucsons, he should show footage of the older Tucsons... the current lineup is completely redesigned.

Than they must have woken up at Hyundai. Has the electric power steering got any better😖? I had an i40 for one year and never had so many expenses on a car before. Bought it just out of warranty with only 20k miles on the clock. Excellent condition and full service history. At the end I spend 5k on it and than sold it with a 3k loss because there was a wobble/vibration under acceleration which we could not figure out what caused it. I had pumped enough money in to this wreck. This was my worst year as a car owner. I was hoping Hyundai was at the level, or close to the level of Toyotas but that was a big mistake. They are not. My 2023 Hybrid Hyundai Tucson’s Engine Light started coming on after 5 months. It says the Powertrain with the code PO47100. The vehicle showed no signs of a problem, so I turned off the engine light with a reading device. It would eventually pop up again, but still no signs of any problem. Finally after several months, it started coming on daily, so I figured it’s time to get it checked at the dealership. They put a new sensor in, and it didn’t fix the problem. So I had to bring it back to the dealer. They told me it’s something rare that they never seen before. After a lot of testing they said they will have to replace the engine harness. This is something I know nothing about, but after describing it to me, it sounds like the central nervous system in a human being. I looked up pics, and see that it has wires, that give signals to everything throughout the vehicle. Does anyone else have information about this? Everything was working fine in my vehicle. It ran like a champ, and no issues with anything electrical.
