Great videos but when doing reviews I think it'd be better if you got a stock vehicle to review. That Jeep is lifted, has aftermarket or otherwise not included oh $h!t handles, not all Rubicons come with touch screens, they certainly don't come with tailgates like that (that one is because the vehicle is lifted with heavier tires and the stock tire carrier can't carry a tire that heavy). Though that dealer obviously has modified a few vehicle for sale, the average consumer isn't going to see those features. With that said, I like your videos :)

If a Jeep has been that heavily accessorized, you really should list the features. You're not gonna get a new one anywhere near that modded for $40K even. Try 50. You can get a loaded Rubicon Hard Rock for that price. But back to this Jeep. There's at least $6-10K of mods there. You're looking at Rockstar XD 2 wheels and at least 35" diameter by 12" wide tires. There's also a good 3" lift on that thing. AEV vented hood. Bumpers with LED fogs, tire carrier, etc.

+X Maneuver I had a 2010 Rubicon Unlimited with a six speed trans. Overall average MPG was 15.5 to 16. I need to add I was running 33" off road tires, lift kit, steel bumpers front and rear with a winch and other accessories. The Rubicon's primary design is for off road. On the hwy and in town it was satisfactory. Steering feels a bit lose at higher speeds. Fast forward to 2015. I just picked up a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The difference b/t the 2010 and 2015 motor is day and night. Also, this has an automatic transmission and is lighter. The only mod I'll get for the 2015 is skid plate for the trans. The vehicle is very capable off road it the stock configuration. To be very direct: Mediocre crash test scores; long braking distances; sloppy on-road handling; noisy interior; busy ride; missing many of the latest safety and technology features ;however, its primary design is for off road and then it's at the top of that list. In closing I'll tell you this. I also own a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500, Longhorn, crew cab. The Rubicon's ride is much better on road and off road than my 2500. One last item, if you buy a warranty (I did), buy the Chrysler warranty. It's a lifetime warranty on the vehicle, bumper to bumper, if anything goes wrong they will fix it with $100.00 deductible. Remember if you intend to modify your Jeep; then, don't buy the warranty because all the mods will void it; however, it you intend to keep it until the wheels fall off, the warranty will more than pay for itself while you own the Jeep.

Can you tell me more about the car in hot weather situations, knowing that the rooftop kinda thin towards the external weather. I assume this is just a stock jeep under the hood? I would never choose a jeep as a base for an offroad / adventure vhicle due to their abysmal reliability record. accoarding to consumer reports, predictions on new wranglers are that they will be 65% less reliable than avarage, and thats saying allot in todays world of shitty cars. on a 1-5 star reliability rating system, the wrangler has 1 star ratings for nearly half of the catagories. It has the worst possible rating for engine minor, engine cooling, drive system, fuel system and suspension, all critical systems for running a vhicle in areas you may be stranded and unable to stop by your jeep dealer or mechanic for the unusually verry frequent repairs . the transmission major fares little better with a 2 star rating and the engine major pulls a mediocre 3 stars. Jeeps are some of the worst vhicles on the road in an era where the quality of vhicles in general has gone drastically down hill. I have no idea why people think of them as a reasonable choice for anything much less a vhicle you may need to rely on in an area with little or no resources.
