It comes from youtubers. People repeat what youtuber say, especially in the genshin community. Now why did youtubers say that? Because Baizhu and YaoYao are two dendro healers (at the time of Baizhu's release the only ones as well). Nothing more to it really, that's what invited the comparison. They have about the same pull value for most accounts as characters which is not a dig at Baizhu, yaoyao is a great character in general, so some youtubers said "YaoYao is better than Baizhu" half because in some team she is and half because if a 4* and a 5* have the same kind of pull value (obviously that's account dependent but you get the point) then the 4* is 'better'.

This, I get the similarities on the surface but they actually have different uses. I have both, both are built and both get used in different comps. That said, Baizhu in general feels much stronger, I hate how many people say YaoYao is as good or better, if I could only pick one, Baizhu feels much easier to drop into more comps and especially with Furina, he feels much stronger overall unless you're looking for a specific niche YaoYao fills.

I LOVE Hybrid Baizhu. I’m a maniac and must be stopped. Baizhu 37k health, 500EM, and 200% ER with Sacrificial. Then I quick swap button mash with Kaz, Ko Ko, and Yae. I know it is faaaaaaar from optimal but it’s so comfy and sparkly and my happy place. META SCHMETA. Thanks for understanding people like me!

I am so glad that I've got him on 1st banner. He is basically all you need. You got heal (for some team s, like Furina), and more important you have resistance to interruption that is why healers usually considered worse than sheilders. He is very undeterred. I love him sooo much.

From my experience Baizhu has extremely good synergy with aggravate teams cuz his dendro application isn't as strong as Nahihi so he can allow ur anemo to freely swirl electro while also providing comfort and great reaction buffs to ur electros👍 every aggravate team features some extremely squishy characters and all non-Baizhu defensive options are kinda clunky (hi Yaoyao's stoopid ass rabbit) 😂 I've been having a blast with Fischl-Baizhu-Yae-Sucrose rn. Was super happy to finally put my Yae to good use 😭

In my experience, tome of the eternal flow is a great 'dps' weapon for him because it's passive can be triggered pretty reliably with his burst. Because when the shield breaks and you take the tiny damage and then heal it up you get two out of three stacks. And it even has a small hp% buff which does help keep his healing and passive relatively high. Edit: Plus the color of it matches his cape so you get style points.

I've been running 50k HP ocean clam on my C6 Baizhu since release because he's my first 5* healer, but I noticed he overheals (and is obviously REALLY good at it). Your hybrid build is literally the answer to my problem, I knew I didn't want a high DPS Baizhu cause I still wanted him to heal, I just don't need /that/ much healing :'D thank you for the video, and for appreciating an extremely underrated unit!

Great video on Baizhu. I got him during his debut banner and while I have always recognized his healing ability, I didn't build him earnestly. When the info on Farina started to enter the chatter I started to sink more time into him. For the moment he hasn't replaced Kokomi since I main Yoimiya, but now that Furina is out we'll see what happens.

found this video a little after u posted it and i KNEW i wasnt just imagining his other potentials!! i specifically got the bp weapon for him bc it matches his look almost perfectly, (tbh more then his signature weapon for me) and ended up getting a lot of crit on his artifacts so i searched for other baizhu builds, and maaan this was a refreshing watch. im revisiting him again bc i wanna see what i can do better, and this is a great guide, tysm for sharing

Nice vid. I liked it and I agree with you on the builds, especially with the Hybrid one, but I think you shouldn't remove the ocean clam from the standard HP build option, he can gain on average ~50k AOE damage per rotation using only proto amber + burst and one E with Clam, in teams were you can use 2 Es per rotation he gains one more full stacked bubble so something like ~65k . In teams where you don't need DW, such as aggravate teams or teams where you use both him and Nahida, Ocean is a great option, especially for AOE situations, even more so now that we have Furina which increases healing and generates stacks faster with better healing, so healing bonus from 2 pieces is more usefull.

Yay! Just be sure you watch out for Baizhus shield when charging on Tighnari. It could be frustrating to get hit with Baizhus shield from multiple hits, but it still works since he heals after it breaks!

Baizhu is by-far my most valuable and reliable unit along with Miko. He has a permanent spot on my team and is still my favorite. I saved beaucoup primos for him and got lucky on all the 50/50s, which gave me c2 on his debut. Such an underrated and amazing character 💚🐍

With Chronicled Banner coming back I can finally get my boy Baizhu for my Cyno Nahida Xingqiu team, and the hybrid build looks like fun! Though Nahida is my current Deepwood holder so I might give him Gilded Dreams for the free 150 EM and Prototype Amber to shore up healing and stupid easy ER requirements.

@@Iwillchangethislateranyways Thundering Fury is Cyno's best set. The 40% boost to Hyperbloom and 20% to Aggravate is very strong when Cyno is only one driving it. Kuki steals a lot of Cyno's Hyperblooms right now, significantly reducing the usefulness of TF. Replacing her with Baizhu means that Cyno will be the only one causing Electro.

As someone who's trying to push for a C2 Baizhu on this banner (got his C1 on his first banner when Kaveh took every single wish I had to even come home), I am excited for this guide! I have my Baizhu built in a weird hybrid DPS build, with a Crit ratio that's better than my Fischl, but I'm always interested in improving him. (Felt like clarifying that I did very much so want Baizhu on his first banner. Dendro is an element that means a lot to me for various reasons, and him being a healer makes him extra special. Throw on being obsessed with him since 1.0 and seeing him at Bubu pharmacy, and he slots in with Tighnari and Neuvillette as a Very Important Character for me 😂)

I just wanna say my piece as an electro (Razor) main, when he came out Baizhu wasn't very good for aggravate. He just did not have a weapon. In aggravate, every team member needs to be a sub dps, and without a good weapon or set Baizhu didn't cut it compared to his bloom performance, especially since his passive is weaker for aggravate/spread than bloom. (Catalyze teams never reach EM levels high enough that his buff is good.) If you went full dps, you didn't get any buff. However, Sacrificial Jade has changed him completely, and at R5 it's just straight up better than his signature on catalyze teams. At R5, it has MORE HP than his signature (more healing) while having crit AND EM. While it has lower base attack, spread doesn't care about base attack that much (compared to aggravate/raw damage), especially if you have external buffs (I use Wandering Evenstar Nahida). And in *double electro* resonance teams, you don't need that extra energy. You're fine. One weapon single handedly made Baizhu go from mid to perfect slot in for catalyze teams. I didn't go for cons when he released but now I'm going for that juicy C2 over getting Furina cuz he's worth it. One more thing about burning, one of the best burning characters is Thoma. Thoma's issue though, is his energy needs consuming any substats. The new Fontaine crafted weapon, Rightful Reward gives HP AND at R5, 16 whole energy every 10s when the character is healed. Thoma's burst has a 20s CD, meaning you can get 32 energy with Rightful Reward if you can procc it. Guess who heals in intervals of 10? Baizhu's skill. And at C2, Baizhu heals every 5s on the dot. If you have Thoma's C4 his burst refunds 15 energy. Reducing his total cost by 47. From 80 cost, down to 33. Thirty. Three. You can pump as much of whatever substats as you want. Rightful Reward/C2 Baizhu will become an OP core one day, mark my words.

I love seeing different takes on Baizhu! What about Solar Pearl + Marechaussee Hunter when played as onfield dps? I've also heard rumors about attack becoming more valuable than EM once you hit 400 EM in the dps build. I find him fascinating with how many ways there are to build him and how people don't seem to agree on the optimal choices per team, which is getting further confused by potentials with Furina.

I haven't tried marchussy! I just don't think his normal atks and charge atks are very strong with a normal ICD. His burst with 0 ICD is important enough to focus on.

I was trying to pull for Furina's sword, but I ended up with Jadefall Splendor. However, this loss in the weapon banner made me research about Baizhu's healing and it changed my perspective about him. As of now I think he's the best healer, and I'm trying to pull him because he's tailored for Furina, and could suit many team comps. The one tap massive teamwide heal from his elemental skills is too underrated. He's a hidden gem if you ask me.

I like Building him in hp to have the max bonus for the healed character. He's perfect to boost any dendro related reaction , but they must stay on field because otherwise they don't get the boost from his passive. I'm using him with Alheitam, Liza, Keqin, Cyno being the best as he triggers a lot of reactions

Thx for the video. I'm not convinced by a hybrid build, in the best burgeon, bloom, hyperbloom, aggravate & quickbloom teams, He's never the main trigger, his own dmg is of little interest. I use 4 sets for a support build (max buff and max healing) : 4PC SoDP -> main DPS HP scaling team (Neuvillette, Mualani) 4PC Noble + TTDS -> aggravate/quickbloom team (main DPS Raiden, Clorinde, Cyno...) 4PC Clams -> Dendro team or 4PC Deepwood if there is no other wearer and with Emilie/Alhaitham.

You sound exactly like me when it comes to dehya and her builds. So many people just parrot theory crafters stating that she need emblem, high ER, bennet kazuha etc when in actuality shes a burgeon/pyro hybrid unit that has more value in her elemental skill than her elemental burst 60/40 split, and thus should be using vourukasha glow set and always be paired with furina and another dendro unit. Currently enjoy using her with baizhu, furina and a cry damage dealer, or replacing baizhu with nahida and replacing the cry dps with charlotte. in case anyone asks (because they usually do on similar comments). Build: either ATK,HP or EM sands (depends on what buffs your team gives and what constellation your dehya is), Pyro goblet, crit circlet, vourukashas glow set. her skill vape/melts for 30k+ and her punches range from 20-60k+ (furina makes damage fluctuate a lot + vapes and melts) and that's just pyro damage, not including the 17kx2 burgeon damage (which she can do during her burst too btw). Ofc meta slaves will continue using the same crappy builds and then cry about her not doing enough damage.

I poured every wish, primo, and speck of starglitter into Baizhu during his debut and got him to C6 by the end. At C0 he's already balanced and very versatile. HP is good for a full on heal build but to take advantage of his entire kit...yes, EM and some ATK for his Dendro buffing. I've been playing my Baizhu as DPS since I got him and he's alot of fun. Switch to full heals for co-op and no one dies, Dendro app always up.

Thanks! I can imagine. That C2 is such a gamechanger. Usually keep Widsth or Tome of Eternal Flow on him, but just got his matcha donut and it doesn't do too bad with the hybrid build I keep him on. Swap between 4 piece Vourashka or Gilded Dreams depending on what I'm doing. Glad you mentioned Baizhu with Wriothesley. I like putting Baizhu with Wrio/Thoma/Bennet.

I saw an interesting video about Bennet with Furina that gave me the idea to try a build with Baizhu on a 2pc/2pc Maidens/Clam. With EM/HP/HP with ER/HP/EM substats. My NeuvaRina team wasn't getting enough heals from Baizhu on my Deepwood/ProtoAmber build. I never considered SacFrags, but I'll def test it with both builds. Thank you, this video was EPIC.

I wrote off those "guides" went on to build what I think best for him, which is Hybrid, Prototype Amber(don't have extra EM catalyst), 4x Deepwood, ER sands, Dendro DMG Goblet and Crit rate circlet; Priotritise ER->Crit->HP->EM as substat. Even that it is more than enough to keep Hu Tao(she's a bit pissed) and Furina healthy

No. Most people pair him with nahida so you want him to have 50k HP for maximizing his 40% passive reaction dmg bonus. Of course you can build him however you want but Baizhu is designed to go that way, and it’s not wrong.

Tbh it feels like you’re underselling hp-er Baizhu. He may usually only be best in dendro reaction focused teams that way, but there’s a huge amount of those. He can hold deepwood to boost any dendro damage you may deal, and his buff isn’t negligible. His healing becomes really important in Furina teams. It’s not boring at all? Idk that section just rubbed me the wrong way. Additionally, he’s even more versatile in this build with a ARTIFACT SPOILERS set in 4.3 that buffs based on healing, including overhealing.

What i know from Baizhu, he applies so much dendro, he feels ss tier for me, he’s helped me a lot to clear spiral abyss floor 12-3, he’s good, i cant force everyone to like a character, they can hate him all they want, they cant see his potential beyond “just a healer” “oh he needs energy recharge” “oh he’s a guy he’s not waifu material i can put in my collection that i can simp and be degenerate towards on” when character is good, he’s very flexible to most 26 other teams like kazuha, with baizhu u can build him full em, hp and or half hp and half em, he can go to nilou’s team since her blooms does damage her, he can go hyperbloom with kuki or fischl, he can go aggraviate cyno lisa and alhaitham he can go fridge salad whatever! whatever role he’s in, he will do excel in it. Im doing dendro aether, kuki em, xingqiu and baizhu and they clear the conepia whatever the name was on abyss floor 12-2 easily. I recommend him a lot. Baizhu has more viability and potential for future updates and enemies

Wow now I see Baizhu in other way, this is so interesting, thank you so much for the video, I`m glad to got Baizhu on his debut banner he was my first 50/50 won, I used to have the dendro set for him but then I just switched sets with Barbara now Baizhu has the Maiden Beloved he heals over 12k cuz he only function is to be a healer in my team but after watching this vid I must say he is much more versatile that I thought, it is nice to see Baizhu enjoyers be this open minded and also the comunity is so kind n.n we for sure recognize when someone is Baizhu main :D

As a proud Baizhu main who has him tripple crowned, I find this video a nice relieve from pure HP builds, because anything else isn't worthy bla blah blah... It's not so long ago I've seen a post from a newer player asking for advice regarding artifact sets for his EM Baizhu who got absolutely torn into pieces for using that build. They had R4 Sacrificial Fragments on him, working on geting R5 and everyone in that thread agreed that SF is a terrible weapon for him, insisting that he needs R5 Prototype Amber to be good. And I agree... If you're a meta slave who doesn't know how to have fun in this game. Up until recently, I myself used EM Baizhu with R5 SF, 700 EM, 170% ER, 30k HP with dendro damage goblet and I only switched to the hybrid build because I've pulled his signature while trying to get Scara's weapon, so could as well put it to use. He's a fun character to play and focusing on maximizing his healing only just feels boring and wasting his true potential. He's not just a healer, he's also a dendro driver, off field DPS (if you have C2, can work even at C0, but it's better to have C2), buffer for dendro reactions, he provides good resistance to interruptions and honestly, he can work even as an on field DPS if you know how to dodge, complaining about his range being too short to be used like this sreams skill issue. Remember, you don't need to use "the best" or "recommended" build for your characters to have fun in this game. Use builds that work for you.

I'm so lucky got Baizhu in his first banner with only 20 pull win 50 50 with zero pity 😂 because the last 5 star I got was Nilou so yeah since I don't have Yaoyao at that time think Baizhu was the perfect to fit into my bloom team which is now Nilou, Nahida, Xq/Yelan/Neuv and Baizhu, too bad this time during Furina banner I lost 50 50 to dehya... I don't know still manage can get Furina or maybe next time.. all the luck already used to get Neuvillette last time, Baizhu can be perfect in my Furina team together with Neuv and Nahida or Kazuha....but still never regrets btw TQ for this guide, Baizhu is amazing and best for me

I'll take my time to give some MAJOR hints on Baizhu. See those passive talents, skills, burst scaling, and ER requirements. It tells you already what the guy is best at and what he needs to be at this optimum state - 1 You get 100% dmg on bloom/hyperbloom/burgeon and 40% aggravate/spread during his ult when his hp is 50K. - There's your Yaoyao Creeping at C0. 2 To make this buff last, you want to capitalize on your ER requirement and duration, for 80 Energy - 14s duration /20s icd - 170-200% ER is a good to go - For 1 / 2 Dendro Comp. 3 Best Set on Baizhu is DeepWood, 2nd would be Clam 4 Now for the 'niche' build. I'd like to bring the attention to 3 important things: 1 - His E.Skill is majorly for healing and can hit up to 3 targets at most. 2- His E.Burst focus only on 1 target. 3 - So he won't do much damage, However there's a way to bypass 1 & 2.. WITH bloom/hyperbloom/burgeon being AoE!!! For niche build - you can crit rate, and crit damage ONLY IF you'll use a favonius weapon. Bloom/ Hyperbloom and Burgeon mostly work with EM so...... crit build? Yes but no.. Now coming to the 'end game' and 'pro' build - Baizhu is meant to be in a bloom/hyper bloom burgeon team You'd want that sweet 86% Dendro 800-1000EM,50K HP, and 200% ER.

Congrats!!! His signature isn't the best DPS weapon, but it consolidates HP% for buffing and healing, Energy, and converting HP into Dendro damage, so it's more of a hybrid weapon. But be financially responsible if you go for it!! Sacrificial Jade seems to be the next best thing and it's a great 4 star from the BP!

I feel like this video manifests my exhaustion i felt watching guide vids on his launch. It was so awful hearing folks dunking on him when the second i got him he was so cool and fun to use. My favorite playstyle is a hybrid where i run paradise lost em/hp%/em with his signature. Im at 47k hp, i run him with nahida/nilou/xq for resonance, shred, em buffs, hydro app and bountiful cores. The EM jumps to 1k+, his bloom dmg is insane, i triple dip in bonuses and buffs and just aaaaa 28k blooms feels so good.

Don't watch guides and reviews to know whether a character is fun or not tbh. Those will tell you the meta properties of a character not their fun factor which have nothing in common (i.e I find Dehya to be a really fun hypercarry yet she's garbage at it). Overall Genshin is an easy game 99.9% of the time, just play the way you want

TL;DR. I'd love to see a Cyno, Dendro Travler, Furina, and Biazu. I'm sick of people saying "Cyno is bad at multi-wave content." No. He doesn't have an issue with it. Nahida does. I'm hoping dendro travler and Biazu could shore up the replacement there. I really regretted Cyno after I had him for a while. He doesn't feel as good as Razor to me, and I'm hoping the big numbers will cheer me up. For cyno's build I went MH, ER, EM, EM, (My sub stats are pretty great, like CR70 and CD 140, My ER is like 160 but I'm running him on Kitain Cross Spear. so that should be okay. but only like 1.5k ATK. Classic Furina, Emblem Dendro Travler on Fav, and ... I haven't pulled Biazu yet. I'm at 50 pitty and he's on a garantee. So I'll get him before the banners end. I'll update you if you want. I like Biazu on thrilling tales because my Cyno is going to need that ATK. buuuuut it would only be half the burst :/ I hope you take my idea and have Cyno Furina top Alhaitham. I think quickbloom is the way to go, and this man is an important peace. And if there are any recommendations I'll take it.

For Baizhu you'd want to have mostly HP to buff your Cyno to the best he can. Unless you'd like some sub DPS power by running a crit hybrid with HP for Baizhu but that's just for fun! Jeez 600 is perfect honestly! I think you have a good balance of stats, just maybe a bit higher crit damage is all I'd see. But your Cyno seems great!

Aww man! Congrats on Baizhu, but yeah... Low refinements are rough. Either use it for now, use Favoni codex or Proto Amber if they have higher refinements.

Yeah I crafted him a rank 5 amber. Both my fav and sac are Rank 1, very not dependable, so will be hoping for more luck once I start pulling again. Got him on Amber+ER+HP+EM. Run him solo at about 200Er, 32K HP and 250 EM at the moment, but his gear isn’t completely leveled yet and he also only has an ER 2 piece bonus. Only been playing for 94 days, so I don’t have enough trash artifacts to level everyone’s gear, and have only been farming Emblem for the most part since so many of my other most used need that and others can use Shim, like Yelan, Lyney, Beidou, Wrio, Xiangling and Xingqiu. Baizhu is the first ever dendro I’ve actually pulled from wishes so will be doing 2/3 Emblem 1/3 Dendro artifact farming from now on

I already was in need of Baizhu for my Cyno who I finally recently """built""" but i stopped playing very often around when Nahidas runs, Baizhu's and Alhaithams went by-So i have no dendros to support Cyno, not even YaoYao. Fast forward to furina's banner, I win my 50/50 for Furina and am eyeing Baizhu since I know hes good for both Cyno still and her, and 32 pity later (really more like 22 since he was the first thing in the tenpull?), just tonight i manage to win 50/50 and bring a C0 Baizhu home. Looks like im grinding for two 5 stars for a while (really three, im also building wriothesley)

I actually run sac frag on my Kokomi 😂 it really helps with her jellyfish and those pesky mobs that move a lot, she has 160-170 er but with sac frag feels just about right and more comfy👍 Thanks for the guide, I just got Baizhu and I really want to know how to play with him.

Good luck! My guide here focuses on the hybrid or multi builds he can build, but if there's one major one to remember, for more healing and on field buffing to a DPS or reactor, HP is the way to go, and being sure you have enough ER to get his burst frequently!

I have C2 Baizhu but before I had c2 I used Sac because it just makes the most logical sense to me. Now I have him on 1000 floating dreams and I love him. You play him how I like to play him 😂. There was a time for fun I was clearing floors with just him and Yae Miko 🤭
