I feel like one of the underrated things about lan Yan is the fact that her shield allows you to run the calamity of eshu on clorinde teams and not need xilonen or zhongli. Zhongli just doesn't buff as much as her and you can now run xilonen on team two,not to mention lan Yan's shield is way better than xilonen's geo crystallize shield,also the fact that she can run ttds

Keqing as the aggrevate example like Clorinde doesn't exist on the current banner. Lanyan is great for Clorinde, Calmity of Eshu was an event weapon which is as good as a 5 star provided you're shielded and C2 Lanyan regenerates her shield every 0.5 seconds based on normal attacks.

I think the sucrose/lan yan teams will even out in longer fights. Lan yan is faster, making your rotation faster which let’s you carry over more bol to the next rotation. Additionally lan yans shield also allows you to pretty much never use arle burst so you can always carry over the bol because you don’t need to heal. In abyss it’ll probably just depend on the enemys for which one is better

Tbh I want Lanyan not as an alternative for Sucrose/Kazuha but as a replacement for Zhongli. Good thing Hoyo finally made a shielder that is not bad and competitive in terms of buffing your DPS. People should be comparing her to Zhongli more than Suc/Kazu cause Zhongli's role is what she's more likely going to contest. Now I can ditch Zhongli to oblivion

Lanyan aside from having quite weaker shield on average and lower duration, She's overall a better shielder pick than Zhongli since she buffs your team damage more. She shred resistance higher than Zhongli cause of VV and can hold TTDS

I don't know how to feel about how most strong 4 stars came from Liyue, like Mondstadt only have like Bennett, Fischl, and MAYBE Diona on some team, Inazuma only have Kujou Sara and Kirara (on some conditions), Sumeru have Collei(worse than free Traveler, but still useable), and Faruzan, Fountaine has Chevreuse, and Natlan has Ororon, and Kachina. But Liyue? They have Xiangling, Yaoyao, Lanyan, Gaming, Beidou, and Xingqiu
