I just lost a close friend two weeks ago, she was 57, to an unexpected, tragically executed, suicide. Still reeling from immense grief, I was watching Virgin River the spa scene, and when she spoke those words I lost it. It put things in perspective. What a privilege to get old. I Cherish every moment. I pamper myself and love myself and I don’t care what anyone thinks of me, it’s not my problem it’s theirs. Tammy even though I’ve been in the beauty industry for close to 50 years, I’m 66 this month, it helps to watch women like you, and also LisaLisaD1, Hot and Flashy and Melissa55 to help remind me to not only make others look and feel beautiful but also myself. So thank you for putting out content reminding me to do nice things for myself. Self care is important for our mental health I believe. It’s not just superficial. Bisous 😘🥰

Yes, it's important to take care of yourself on many levels. I agree making the effort on skin care make up, hair, clothes exercise etc to the best you can. Is all part of a bigger self respect picture. Its appreciating and celebrating the gift of our physical bodies and feeling grateful about them and their scars. It compliments our inner spiritual work and self development. At our age we are all surviors of many things, a little self love has been well earned.😊

It made me make a plan to get up tomorrow, no matter what, no matter how bad i feel, and put some makeup on, simply for ME! Tammy you look beautiful! I finally got all my color cut off. Started going dye free 2 years ago. It was so nice to get that last bit trimmed this week. Your hair is gorgeous. The pendant is also pretty. Yes, I know at 60 that I am thankful for life because some do not even reach half this age. My mother is almost 86 now. Will be visiting her soon. I know I'm blessed to have her this long.

Tammy, at 71, the thing I look forward to the most is adding many more candles to my birthday cake! I take good care of me because I want to be here to enjoy celebrating more anniversaries (going on 52 years), many more family memories, more mornings enjoying coffee on my patio, more chances to enjoy new people in my life….Just more of life! Along that road I love to feel the best I can and look the best version of me. Long gone are the days of perfect , wrinkle free skin and tight body…..but I look forward to finding the ways to be the healthiest I can and look my best on any given day. Just started watching but have to say the match on the skin tint colour must be The Best I've seen on youtube. So many chose complexion products more yellow and darker than their skin. This is perfect, imo. The skin looks clean and fresh and like it's your own skin. With almost all foundation applications I see on youtube, I always force myself to think that surely it will be ok after all the makeup is on. With this demo, it's lovely from the start! ... and knowing Tammy, it will finish beautifully too 💕

I agree, she is lovely. She was upfront in saying she’s not perfect (as none of us are). In a video yrs ago, of which she may have then forgotten… ppl complained ab her lighting and she became very bothered ab it. Still, she has since then gotten a camera which works like most makeup artists’ cameras And it’s her prerogative to do so and to be upfront ab it. As women, we should feel good ab ourselves and share tips to make others feel good ab themselves as well… honestly.

I've actually been using the old school sponge tip applicators for eyes shadow lately - I can get a more precise placement for my eye shadow - for some reason certain areas of my lid do not accept the color with brushes anymore. Getting older is a gift from God - I treasure it every day, especially since 4 members of my immediate family died before age 60. #loveyourage

TAMMY, Hi! Good to see you!!! Really curious how you feel about the Hourglass Veil Skin tint after wearing it for awhile. I live in Hot and Humid Houston and it was a fail during our summer.
