Getting rid of perfects and sub grades. 0 reason to grade cards with CGC going forward for me. I graded over 2,000 cards with them in 2022. CGC will still definitely be used to grade comics of course. Grade with whatever company you enjoy, I just don't think CGC will be best store of value.

I have just bought 4 vintage cards in New cert from PSA I really thing their poor grading will take down the value of the cards...way over graded & CGC cards New cert card looks perfect

For me personally any slabs are always welcome for my PC as long as they are 10 for moderns and 5-9 for vintage but preferable from Beckett, PSA, CGC, TAG or Ace. But I'll send to PSA for my raws thats for sale since a lot of collectors n resellers prefer PSA cause its more liquid.

What I don’t like about 9.5s becoming a 10 is if the surface has a 9. I have seen some cgc with a 9 surface in person and they normally have a obvious print line/scratch on the holo if it is a holo That shouldn’t be regraded a 10. I would be hesitant to buy a CGC 10 incase it’s an old 9.5 with a 9 surface. Or do I have that wrong? Also to add, I like the label but I also didn’t dislike the blue. Gold pristine label is awesome. Would of been nice for those collectors who have a lot of the original labels.

reholdering the pristine 10 into the new gold label will be a no brainer for me, but I wonder about the 9.5s. Most of my 9.5s are almost guaranteed to be psa 10 if I ever reslab them. You know, the kinds that are only 0.5 away from pristines or the ones that are having 2 or 3 10 subgrades. I feel like if I crack them and resubmit, I have a pretty good shot of getting the pristine gold label bump instead of the gem mint black label, or at worst they just return as a gem mint 10 again like they were supposed to. Or maybe I should just send them to psa for easy 10s. So many choices to consider.

No. Pristine 10 is still pristine 10. They so rarely gave perfect 10s that they did away with that grade.

I really dont think the basic 10s will sell good at all. The pristine 10s will do much better but still one of the only things that was good about cgc is the sub grades and the strict grading. But now the basic 10s arent true 10s and there not even doing anything with the perfect 10s. You also say its your opinion but then call us stupid for our opinion in the title lol???

I like the new labels, but wont ever be usig them again. First of all the regrade should be free, not $5... and second, what is mint+ what is that? Get rid of the half grades. Yea cgc will get phased out and i recon i will leave a gap for another conpany to take thwir place

Meh kinda true but I actually never liked cgc. PSA is my preferred tcg slab. Not to say PSA is great, there’s many things I despise about them, but they are the company that brings more value to the slab in my experience

Dang, OK those are VERY nice looking slabs now. CGC slabs always look like butt. Seriously were the ugliest slabs. And the ugly yellow for the pristine ones were completely trash looking. Then they changed their grading standards (which is still dumb IMO) and I was like... Worse grading company ever. But bro, these slabs look so nice, may just be changing my mind based off this hahaha!

@@Gibbers5 you're so wrong mate 😁 the big flippers use PSA for easy 10's. CGC are mostly collectors, that prefer the aesthetic and quality of the crystal clear slab. Not the old frosty cheap thin feel to it of the PSA slabs. No need to hate on a company when you dont grade with them though mate

Here let me try. PSA sucks. They’re lazy inconsistent and give out incorrect grades all the time. If you’re grading with them you’re a lazy koolaid drinker who doesn’t care that your cards aren’t getting graded properly and only cares about maximizing value, even at the expense of incorrect grading. If you’re a real collector you’re grading with companies who are more consistent in their grading. How did I do? Not saying I 100% believe that, but I was just following your lead and flipping it around.
