My entire take on this: The new illustration rares are beautiful, people fell in love with them, and the nostalgia just makes it that much better. It’s like collecting art. Not that they weren’t nice before, but they really stepped their game up. As they continue to do more cards that fit together or have backgrounds that continue into each other it will also drive up the popularity of these full set illustrations. This wave is going to be crazy, and as long as the Switch 2 and Pokémon ZA deliver, the Pokémon craze will keep growing.

I've had people tell me it'll make the price of the originals drop because of "reprints". But I don't think that at all. They'll have their own market value and shouldn't affect the aforementioned 'dilema'. I think it's great and I can't wait to open them!

I just watched a 30$ Sabrina gangar non Holo go for over 50$. People are hyping up the vintage set, and saying buy while you can all over whatnot. I'm mad because I'm collecting rocket with my wife. I'm sure it will settle back down tho

as a 90 kid I love the idea of bring back team rocket cards and I hope its in a new and interesting way, I personally still need a dark charizard card, also Trainer cards are my favorite it brings some extra personality to the cards.

Of course it is the easy cash grab. But I can't be bothered about it in general. Giving vintage sets a remake like they did with SV151 is just simple clever. Let the gen 1 boomers like me splurge more money into the tcg now we have disposable income. And for the gen Z crowd they got Pokemon pocket to hook em up with digital stuff. But eventually they still want the real deal: ripping fysical packs. So with pocket you can entise / entice? different people to get hooked upon opening fysical packs. Mean while 30+ people like me will get to relive their teens with new art work. Call it lazy, call it cash grab, it simply works. How do you cater to both camps? Let new people enjoy gen 9, let old people enjoy gym heroes / rocket returns with new art work. It is a fine act of balancing your IP to different groups.

Ultimately Pokémon is a company anything and everything they do ultimately is for money…yes us as fans should love this because that means more money in the pockets of the people who make this beautiful community a real life thing. Come on pokemon lovers the voice acter died and pokemon ceo wants to celebrate her and make it about Jesse and misty.they did it for kirby.its a respect to them..and the new sets all follow the tv show so i already know whats happening. They big 6 are being found and in all the up coming sets the 6 will be the chase.there myt be a new movie next year .but i feel because rocket is not in new horizon i imagine that they will come in in season 4 or 5 hence the rocket set..and mewto has not been talked about in show. Yet.the show shows that journeys was 151 season 1 and 2 was paldea and base and flames and so on.season 4 rocket. So with that the top card will be lapras sir .oh makes sense now.
