You know they're all going to be bad. Might as well enjoy the train wreck. I mean, people I despise paid over $120 to make a movie that might make them $30-40m back at best. Some careers probably ended because of this one. And no one held a gun to their heads and said "be a part of this movie". So... the Borderlands IP is pretty much taking one for the team at this point. A whole bunch of people in front of and behind the scenes are being removed from the equation by their own voluntary participation. Of course there are a few blameless newcomers to the scene who just got caught in the crossfire, and I salute them. At least you didn't try very hard.

I can't speak to Lilith since I never liked her and she came off as villain more than hero in sequels... It's her fault jack was jack... Most of what he did to her she did to him first.... Edit: the rock would be better for role than Kevin... The perfect person for Roland I think is guy from dawn of the dead with pregnant wife I forget name been long time... He has military like features and his voice is near perfect if memory serves. Great actor

When Ava was introduced i was like god this btch is annoying but i didn’t hate her because i assumed bratty rebellious teen was what the writers intended and i suppose they were doing okay. But when and how they killed Maya, i knew it was over. For the most emotional impact it instead should have been Maya being forced to watch Ava die. Mayas heartbreak would have been much more sympathetic since people actually care about her. All hail our new leader of the Crimson Raiders!

There's a hidden group ruining these movies, inside the movie studios. A whole generation of studio execs seem to have moved in, with no idea of how to make movies, and no idea how to do good business. We don't see them, they aren't credited, they're just sitting back going "This movie is based on a video game? Make it appeal to little kids and old women."

Speak for yourself. I'm fine with adaptations. I just want a GOOD adaptation. Also, no fewer than two dozen completely original movie IPs came out this month, so I can't help but believe that when you complain about "wanting a NEW story", what you're really saying is "Look at me! Look at me! I'm jumping on current trend of bashing game/comic movies, without knowing what the heII I'm talking about!"

Im very surprised by the audience score. If you’re a fan of the games, it’s terrible. If you’ve never played the games, you’d be left wondering what is even happening. The story is poorly written, introductions to character are poor, it’s just bad.

That's an insult to Uwe Boll. His movies were made to exploit a loophole in German tax laws. It's not a coincidence that he stopped making movies, at the same time they corrected that. Postal is also an entertaining movie and a faithful adaptation, so Uwe Boll has at least one win.

SMH…Instead of Borderlands they should have called it Bizaroland. Everything from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings are targeting audiences that do not exist, never existed, or have no interest in the IPs? How much money does Hollywood have that they pump out shit movie after the next. This is by far the worst stretch of movie releases I have ever encountered. Why does every movie have to fulfill some agenda or tick boxes. I fill like this has been going on for almost 10 years now with no end in sight.
