People are forgetting that the Cavs during year 1 of Donovan Mitchell when they lost to the Knicks they had the best defensive rating in the league and a top 10 offensive rating that season mainly due to garland being healthy. That season garland was just as good as his all star season, 22 and 7 shooting 41% from 3 on similar volume vs 38% during his all star season. Garlands gonna be a top 10 pg this season and if Mobley shoots 37% from 3 like he did last year on higher volume this teams gonna be in the Conference Finals

The Cavs are perfectly set up to punk a contender in the playoffs, and be a dark horse for the ECF. Young team where everyone gets a year better, they pick up a playoff tier coach, and a prime Donovan Mitchell. I think we need Darius to be more of a passing guard and have D Mitch charge at the rim a little more because it’s one of his best parts of his game but he’s too much of a pass first player when he has a good passing guard

As a cavs fan it’s annoying seeing media try to say cavs need to win now they have to make changes. Like Kenny said this team is young, we have time to keep growing with Evan and DG. Maybe two seasons from now we should be contending and if not then yeah make the big changes but don’t blow up a good thing we have our best players young don’t give up on that to try and rush the process.

As a 28yr old lifelong cavaliers fan I just wish right now we would trade Jarrett Allen for someone that plays the 3 that can create their own shots & can score at will. We need like a Brandon Ingram at the 3... Hopefully Jaylon Tyson develops fast and becomes an efficient 3 level scorer

The Cavs are like 2 years away from being the bulls. This team is very good, but not good enough, and they haven’t made significant changes to the roster in their 2 years together (don’t get me wrong, replacing Osman with Strus is a great move but not a super impactful move for this core). If they’re the same team they were last year, someone is gonna get bored or sick of it. Whether it’s the coach, a player, the fans, the front office, nobody (besides the bulls) will let this happen for a thirst straight year. They have a lot of pressure to establish themselves quick into what is a sneaky good eastern conference. Idk if this team is better than the bucks, pacers, or magic. Nevermind the top 3 in the east

I’d love to see some sort of trade Darius Garland and Devin Vassel. I love garland but I just don’t think he can do it with Mitchell with them both being 6’1. Yes Mitchell plays bigger but he is still what he is. Garland can get over there play with Wendy and learn more from Cp. Spurs just drafted Castle who has potential to be a great defender. And for the Cavs Vassel is less ball dominant and a potential to be a much better defender imo. Then hopefully Donovan can adapt and became the full time 1.
